"author hates Obama more than Rush" (Vanity)
reviews on The Blast of War: A Narrative History of the Third World War ^ | 2012 | Adam Yoshida

Posted on 06/30/2012 10:24:43 PM PDT by furquhart

Additionally, as some others have noted, this author hates Obama more than Rush Limbaugh. He makes Obama out to be such a ridiculous character who worked with the KGB in his youth! The weakest parts of the book are the author's feeble attempts to portray Obama as some communist spy or some rubbish.

It's a shame when someone has an axe to grind that overwhelms everything else they have to say...and that is certainly the case with this book.

Admittedly, this is a vanity thread. But I just discovered this review and figured it would sell more Freepers on my book than any positive review ever would.

Please tell us the name of your book and perhaps a direct link to your book on Amazon. The link you provided only takes me to that particular review with no mention that I can find of your book and no way to back track to your book’s Amazon listing. I’d like to see it.

Hi furquhart. I moved this to chit chat out of the news forum, because of the no cap title and your cryptic post. However after reading some of the amusing reviews, we could move this to book reviews, if you like.

Are you the author of the book?

Thanks.

Seems like it’s this but the author isn’t someone named Furquhart.

It’s right there to the right of the review. “A Narrative History of The Third World War” or some similar.

Thank you for posting this. Would not have learned of it for some time, otherwise. Interestingly, just this afternoon, I bought a history book, “Korea’s place in the Sun” and had read about two pages when I saw your thread as I was about shutdown the computer.

I’ve read the reviews and certainly do want to read your books. I do not own a Kindle and have been leaning toward buying a Nook from Barnes/Noble. Is, or are, your books going to be available via the Nook? If so, any idea when? Is there any other way to read your books other than the Kindle?

Thanks for your reply.

PS: How do I get an autographed copy? Never thought of this before as it relates to a digital book.

Thanks for posting this!

Freepers are ALWAYS interested when another Freeper gets published :-)

Whenever a work gets scathing reviews from liberals I always become interested in it! In general, if libs hate something then I’m all in for it :-)

You simply must get a tablet to read ebooks on. Seriously, it’s a necessity of life IMO.

Most of the reviews were good.
Naturally, a handful of Democrats / communists weighed in with their silly invective, but who cares?

Congratulations.

Impressive! Sometimes I really wish I had a kindle.

I hesitated to buy a Kindle until about a year ago when they dropped the price. Best purchase I ever made for reading. There are tons of free and very inexpensive books available. Plus, as a subway rider, the Kindle is much less bulky than a regular book to hold while reading and I can 'carry' hundreds of books at the same time on the device.
