At the risk of fomenting and all-out war, I’d like to ask these posters whom they would like to see nominated by the GOP and, further, to assess the chances of that happening?

I've already made a commitment to vote for Tom Hoefling of America's Party. I would not be opposed to the GOP joining America's Party in nominating Tom, but I assess the odds of the GOP nominating Tom at something less than 50%.

I assess the odds of my voting against both Obama and Romney as identical to the odds of my still being alive on election day.

Can I be on the list, even though I do not hate Romney?
I do not like liberals, which he is.
Oh, and you wont be on my BBQ list, feel better?

So. You are willing to vote Obama and assign this nation to another 4 years of misery?

I’ve never heard of your candidate, or his Party, and I’d assess his chances of being nominated by the GOP as something less than 1%. That doesn’t mean that he is a bad person, or would make an inept, or corrupt, President. That just means that it isn’t going to happen.

mormon does not equal mormonISM
There is no mormon hate, there is exposure of mormonISM.
From your post it is evident that you know nothing about mormonISM except that nice family next door.
I have a huge mormon family and several mormon friends.
My experience goes back to 1962.
My mormon family has suffered massively because of mormonISM and yet they are terrified to leave.
I’d have my cousin talk to about the ten years of crap SLC lds put her and her through but you’d have to talk to her from her grave, she put a bullet in her brain.
These wonderful mormonISM practicing people berated, shunned her until she broke. That is just one of dozens of personal family experiences with mormonISM.
Can anything good come from mormonISM, not in my experience or the experience of my mormon family.

My turn. I'd like to ask you to assess the odds that you might be persuaded to not carry out your threat to vote for a liberal for president this November.

"sanity"?

Making and keeping a "list" of your political "enemies" on FR is "sane"?

Hum?
I would really like you to not vote for a liberal for president.
I will vote for the conservative, but (sigh) I live in California so it does not matter who I vote for, BHO has already won.

Of folks who had their hat in the ring (this excludes Sarah Palin, among others), I liked Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich. Many idiots on this forum rejected the first two for IMO spurious reasons ... and now we have a communist running against (apparently) a fascist.

Lovely.

So u r not willing 2 ask what the chances of romney winning those 14 states...plus Mass and dc???? Why the inconsistency? You utilitarian political relativists become suddenly silent when faced with your own applied worldview...not voting dem...never have...voting 4 virgil goode of constitution party...oh and you r now prophesying 4 all of us that your political messiah ...messiah mitt...will bring us 4 to 8 misery-free yrs??? Really????

Too late, people on both sides have drawn their lines in the sand.

You and folks like you with your Stalinesque “lists”, and those who choose a thousand and one reasons why they won’t vote Mitt.

Thanks for showing me that my premise about your “list” was correct.

What is sane about keeping a list of those you perceive as "enemies" of the status quo.

But just to perk you up, since you seem to need it desperately, you aren't on my BBQ list.

Now run on over to TBL and tell them FR has a BBQ list, k!

Oh, you can comment all right...but due to abuse of the caucus label, you can't comment and keep others off the thread who don't agree.

Typical "we are SOOO persecuted" lie....

What is TBL? True blue lies?

I’ve been out with the Scouts for the past couple of weeks and I guess I missed the memo.

Is it some new liberal/libertarian/RINO site?

Well, at least you have given us that - thank you.

I will vote for the conservative, but (sigh) I live in California so it does not matter who I vote for, BHO has already won.

You have my condolences. I had the good sense to get out of there in 1972. I am making repeated trips back these days because my mother (99) broke her leg, and I am tending to her financial and health needs while she is in rehab.

Frankly, I am appalled at the state of my old State. Everywhere we looked there are pan handlers on the street soliciting donations, as well as bumper to bumper traffic. Californians cannot manage their own state, yet they want to impose their rules everywhere else. You might consider changing regimes in California first. You just might discover a hidden groundswell of conservative conviction.

We were there during the Primaries when my governor (Scott Walker) decidedly fought off a recall attempt. As soon as people found out we were from Wisconsin they befriended us and congratulated us on Scott Walker's win. They all wanted us to "send him to California". Not a chance. We still need him. It reminded me of when Reagan was our Governor (I lived in N. California at the time) and nobody would ever admit to voting for him, yet he always won in a landslide.

Aren't you sick of Jerry Brown already?

If I was working for the Romney campaign, I wouldn't completely write off either Washington or Minnesota.

I think there is a reasonable chance that this thing could turn into an anti-'Rat landslide.

If that's the case you don't want to leave anything on the table.

Willard does not have the base...

The Conservatives are the base in the GOP-e...

We give the money, hold membership in the Republican Party and Republican Women and the Pachyderms, work the party headquarters, knock on doors, hold the signs, decorate our front yards and neighborhood corners with signs, buy tickets to dinners, go to rallies, spread cheer and enthusiasm for our candidate with every breathe, stir up the “troops”, wear the TShirts, choke our cars with bumper stickers, make the phone calls from home and man the phone banks, go to GOTV seminars for new strategies, run GOP booths at the county fair and street fairs, etc, you name it..Ive done it all..

The Conservatives are the cheerleaders for the GOP...

Without us the game is dull...

Unfortunately we have a dull competitor...

For the first time since we gathered in parks around the country and hook up by satellite to the big meeting on the steps of Congress in Washington to pray for success for Ronald Reagan in 1980, Im not out doing my usual politial thing...

That is highly unusual for me...

Who would I like to see nominated at the GOP convention ???

In other words who has a better chance of WINNING as opposed to just trying to trick Obama into tripping and losing...???

They need real Conservative creds...

At this stage Newt would just be another “white man” and would have that handicap for a while...But I think his message could overcome objections like that ...

We know him and we know he has the interests of the country at heart...hes smart and knowledgeable and doesnt need a teleprompter nor an earpeice...

Heaven knows he has little of personal reputation left...thats been torn to shreds by Willard...so anything he does is for the country...

Newt will take the fight to Obamas corner instead of just sitting pretty with flowers in his hand as though Obama were a date who might call...

Newt has plans for the country...and hes announced them...he knows how it runs hes been there in Washington right in the heart of the beast and its engine...HE HAS EXPERIENCE...

Theres Herman Cain...that would take away the “black man/racist” thing ...with a strong VP he has a chance of WINNING...

Sanctorum...I think his after primary comments may have cooked his goose...

Bachmann...Why not...a woman at the top of the ticket would be a strong message for those “war against the women” groups...I think Michele could hold her own...except the Dems might put in Hillary...

Perry...I think he has gumption and hes not afraid of Obama..he could have the base behind him..

During one of the early 2012 debates Willard himself said any of the GOP candidates could beat Obama...would be better than Obama...

Lets see if he would back up his words and support one of his former rivals...

Then theres Col Allen West who would make a great VP

Maybe Newt and West...

Or Newt and his friend Herman Cain...

and no I havent forgotten Governor Sarah Palin...

Right now our “country’s bright future” is hanging on what happens at the GOP convention...

So lets see what happens next month...

But whatever happens I wont be voting for Willard...

So find me a real American Conservative to vote for or shut up...

I assess the odds of the GOP nominating Tom at something less than 50%.
