MASSIVE LINES at Chick-fil-A on “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day”
Gateway Pundit ^ | 8-1-2012 | Andrea Ryan

Today is “National Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”

After intolerant and First Amendment-hating Chicago politicians blocked Chick-fil-A from building a restaurant, former Governor Mike Huckabee announced his support for the restaurant chain and its Constitutional right of free speech. He declared today Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.

Allen sent this picture from west county St. Louis.

Allen added: People are standing in line 100+ deep to go inside. The lines go out and around the building. Two lines of drive through cars are around the shopping center.

St. Louisans also came out in huge numbers to show their support for the First Amendment.
The lot was jam-packed…
(Mike took these photos in Chesterfield, Missouri.)

The line goes around the block.

The line of cars wraps all the way around to the main boulevard, where the line still continues.

The surrounding streets and parking lots are packed.

The restaurant is full and the line goes out the door.

Normally, with this crowd volume you would expect short tempers and bedlam. That’s not the case today at Chick-fil-A. While the surrounding restaurant chains are empty, the people in this line are happily making a statement, talking to each other with smiles on their faces. They’re patriots taking a stand against a gross violation of our First Amendment right. And they are doing it in 100 degree temperatures.

Any bets if this will make the MSM tonight?

If you have more photos please send them in!

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) bought Chick-fil-A for his office staff today.

Here’s a photo from Texas.

Ruth Wendelken sent this from Texas: This is at 11:15 at the Los Colinas Texas Chick-fil-a. Notice the line is three cars wide around the building. The line of foot traffic is huge. Notice the sign of 315 cars served at that time. Now in center line. Its a great day for Freedom of speech. Take that Boston, Chicago and San Francisco!

As I stood in line at our local Chick-Fil-A, I was struck by how happy, polite, courteous, and orderly the huge crowd was. And how clean the restaurant was.

Had this been a bunch of Liberals and Democrats, the place would have been trashed, people would be fighting and cursing, riots would have broken out, and the store would have been looted. The police who were directing traffic would instead have been arresting people and setting off tear gas.

When I see crowds like this I have hope, REAL hope for my country. We need this kind of turnout on election day

My thoughts exactly! I just went to my local CFA again, thinking maybe there'd be a midafternoon lull. It's more jammed than it was late this morning. I couldn't get in either drive thru lane or find parking anywhere near the store. I didn't get the milkshake I was hoping for, but I left feeling very hopeful for the future, for the first time in a very long time! :)

I'll tell ya how crowed the one is near us in S.CA...

It was so crowded my wife could not even get near the restaurant to get pics. The parking lot was gridlocked at the entrances.

She gave up even thinking about trying to get in, and will go back later.

The one at Fair Oaks Mall was swamped at about 1pm with the line from the entrance back to the main mall corridor - about 75 - 100 people in line and a couple of bored mall cops because everybody was very well behaved. The staff was very efficient and kept the line moving. The manager came around to shake hands and tell us that the were moving everything as quickly as possible and they were carrying trays for families with young children and seniors to their tables because of the crush of the crowd. Good food and very good service.

CNN has a couple of stories, ABCnews.com has a story, of course FOX news has at least one. I think we shocked them.

Let's just say that , for them, the turnout was UNEXPECTED.

Chick-Fil-A is just a proxy for the voting booth on November 6th.

People can’t wait to vote against the Left and defeat them.

They are chomping at the bit.

I was watching Shep while I worked out on the treadmill at the gym. After a while, I decided he’d NEVER mention Chick-fil-A, so I turned to HLN, and they had a fairly positive report about the overwhelming support Cathy received. It even featured an older black gentleman with bible in hand.

I stopped at the CFA in Houston off 290 at Hollister at 7:30 this morning and it was pretty busy. I counted 14 employees and 2 managers working. I asked my server if this was unusual and all she said was, “we are expecting a busy day”. I bought chicken biscuits for the office, knew I wasn't going to get near there at lunch. I'd like to think this is a straw poll for the November elections.

This is simply awesome!
I LOVE it when the faggot lobby tries to stick a thumb in the eye of normal Americans and normal Americans just shrug and laugh!

Wow! It gives me hope America can still be saved from the scumbag Democrats and their “mainstream” newsrooms.

Didn’t go today. The line was a block and a half long, and I didn’t have time to go.

So I will go Friday and Saturday instead.

Man that sounds good.

Sure beats Burger Queen and McSlop where the help can't even speak English.

This makes me so happy! Unfortunately, the nearest CFA to me is a few hundred miles away; however, as soon as I move to Texas, I will frequent the place as often as possible (as I used to do)! Hopefully, this response is an indication of the election results in November! (BO and his minions must be quaking in their boots today!)

That’s AWESOME that even in liberal looneytown there are still some people who believe in traditional values. Which one did you go to? The one in Hollywood? That is the closest one to me but without a car everything is far away LOL. Too bad they dont deliver I would order some now

Chick-fil-A should run a commercial with Obama stating he believed the same thing when he was running for office. And then state that they have the same opinion he did but they aren’t running for office so they don’t have to accept money to change their beliefs.

Hats off to you. What we are seeing today is just a preview for November 13,2012 and I’ll bet the left will rue this day. When you step on a cats tail it sometimes wakes them up.

I know it won’t have the same impact but it’s the best we can do.

Au contraire.

Continuing to support CFA with your money AFTER today will add more confirmation to today's TURNOUT and MESSAGE.

Heck, most liberals will attend some event ONCE, if there's something in it for them. We must stick to our guns, or lose them.
