As a staunch Conservative, Romney is MY MAN!

I am aware that many conservatives, Tea Party, and strict constitutionalists, have deep apprehension about Romney.. That is mostly based on what he actually did as the Governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007.. Past facts, are almost always the very best indicator of the true intent of a future development.. I couldn't agree more..

FACTS: Mitt Romney, is a fine husband and father, and was and is also a successful and an astute businessman, for a much longer period of time, than a one term Governor..

FACTS: Mitt Romney, has a life that is an open book, picked at, and dissected as only a Republican Candidate for a higher political office will be..

FACTS: Mitt Romney, has lived in and successfully conducted businesses, and held the highest political office in Massachusetts, arguably one of the MOST LIBERAL States in The USA..

FACTS: There are at least 65,000 CEO's of major corporations in the USA, Mitt Romney, was chosen, selected, and accepted the unthinkable, and thankless task of resurrecting, restructuring, reconfigured and managed the 2002 Winter Olympics as President and CEO of the Salt Lake Organizing Committee, and independently turn the troubled games into a visual, as well as a financial success.. Saving the reputation of OUR Country, in what was viewed before his arrival, to become a major disaster, of International proportions.. (NO SMALL ACHIEVEMENT)

FACTS: To successfully manage a business, enterprise, or a State for that matter, one MUST adapt to the circumstances, conditions, restrictions, and limitations of the environment with-which you MUST operate within..

FACTS: MITT ROMNEY IS A WINNER.. He has shown to be an astute, reliable, honorable, and successful, ADAPTER, something that has become the single most insidious fodder that his detractors have twisted, masked, and morphed into something we MUST fear.. Total BS..

FACTS: Our country is in trouble, FINANCIALLY, CULTURALLY, and MORALLY.. We need an ADAPTER, that can face the circumstances, conditions, restrictions, and limitations of the environment with-which we are currently living under..

THE FACTS POINT TO MITT ROMNEY as the only choice any red blooded patriot has this November!

This is your, what, 6th or 7th year pimping Willard ? You’ve been on the bandwagon for that Socialist fraud from Jump Street. It’s hard to take you seriously on a Conservative website when you consistently push for an individual utterly antithetical to Conservatism. As for whom I’m supporting, you seem to have amnesia. I’ve only answered that question a few hundred times.

ABO.

Anyone knowingly allowing Obama a 2nd term out of a temper tantrum that their 10/10 dreamboat is not the nominee needs a dunk in the ice tank to be woken up to reality.

Sorry, wrong again. I am now only going to vote for Mitt as he is the last viable candidate standing. As I have stated before I am not going to participate in the suicide of our country. This is what is going to happen with 4 more years of Obama. I first supported Palin and when she did not enter the race I switched to Newt.

After the way the GOPe, Drudge, Glenn Beck and others treated Newt I swore I was not going to have Mitt shoved down my throat. I still do not visit Drudge, or listen to Beck but the Marxist Obama is so bad I have decided to cast my vote for Mitt. I send no money to the GOPe only directly to candidates like Ted Cruz.

In the last election I only supported Mitt when it was down to him or McQueeg. I actually liked Fred Thompson but that did not pan out.

Don't worry, Mitt doesn't think anything is wrong with that.

And your basis for that is what? Voodoo? Maybe Obama will sudden;y become a conservative too? Again, I am not saying not to vote for Romney. But that doesn't mean he won't try to stamp out conservatism.

Romney, Boehner, and McConnell are finger-in-the-wind politicians. Go along to get along and get something to sign, something to take credit for, never mind if it's worth anything, never mind if it's actually worth less than nothing. That was how Romneycare got done. Romney wanted to take a stab at reforming health care at the state level. However, given the makeup of the Massachusetts legislature, there was no way he could get a half-way decent bill. But that didn't matter. What mattered was to pass a big deal with his name on it. That was the background of those Faneuil Hall signing pics we see posted here so often.

Romney does not have an anti-conservative agenda. His agenda is himself. He's a technocrat. He scored big in business. He turned around the Salt Lake Olympics. Now it's time for his career to advance again. If we have a major wave election in 2012, Boehner and McConnell will hopefully be replaced, and Romney will turn out to be a decent CEO (he's good CEO material, just not great presidential timber, like Reagan).

Obama, on the other hand, is not a finger-in-the-wind politician. He is a committed commie-fascist, anti-American ideologue. He'll take what he can get out of Congress, but, unlike most of Washington on both sides of the aisle, he is stubborn. Witness the vote on his 2012 budget: 99 to 0 in the Senate, 414 to 0 in the House. He doesn't care. Time for another round of golf or another round of speechifying and fund-raising. Obama is not a normal politician. No normal politician would behave like that.

"In the last election I only supported Mitt when it was down to him or McQueeg."

You said I was wrong, yet you just acknowledged I was right. I remember you well as being at the forefront of the Willardpimps in '08 and ignoring those FReepers here whom spelled out the man's record, both in office and his being a pathological liar. I have a real serious problem with folks who have the audacity to call themselves "Conservatives" while supporting the very individuals who are antithetical to Conservatism (not to mention morality, ethics, honesty...). We all agree Zero is horrible, the problem is, so is Willard.

And bear in mind the eight years caused by 1992 were a walk in the park compared to the four+ years that will result from a repeat in 2012.

Or the four years of Romney?

It is down to the same situation as it was last time. A Marxist or a RINO. I will choose the RINO over the Marxist. Simple as that.

Yeah well your plan sure did not work out the first time. Here we are coming up on $16 trillion in debt and did you happen to see the unemployment stories out today? These are real people whose lives are involved. We are not just talking statistics on some paper but real people. So if you want to repeat the same mistake that is your business. I will not have a hand in it. I am voting for the RINO over the Marxist.

Right on. With the country coming up on $16 trillion in debt and the true unemployment articles/figures out today and these people seem to care less. I will not participate in the suicide of this country.

So then it would follow that the rabid Romney supporters who call those of us who do not support him: liars, DU operatives, haters, Mormon haters, Obama supporters, insane, stupid, moronic, delusional.......etc, would receive the same treatment.
Hey ping me if that happens.

This I know....Obama is a Marxist who will destroy US if he gets 4 more years of ‘flexibility’!

Therefore I’m voting for Mitt Romney who may not be the perfect conservative but I know he loves America, has business experience and will listen to ‘we the people’.

THERE IS ONLY 3 MONTHS LEFT BEFORE THIS HISTORIC ELECTION!

We desperately need to come to a consensuses.. Shutting off debate hasn't brought about a satisfactory result.. Flame-wars hasn't worked so well either.. DUH!

I'm not looking for agreement, not even stalemate.. We need a plan..

So, according to the jist of your post, the plan is to require Conservatives to discard every_single_principle they (and this site) adhere to in order to vote for Romney... Inevitably, that is where you must start. That is where you feel that 'consensus' is to be found?

This is precisely the game played here for McCain, and there is a helluva lot more dissent now than there was then. And rightfully so.

The plan STARTS with preserving the basic principles of Conservatism. That is what we are here for. That is where we find natural consensus. That cannot be bent around your candidate. It isn't possible.

That plan would naturally support Conservative candidates at every level, to include the presidency, and let God sort it out from there. Anything other than that is a damn dirty lying shame and will inevitably be proven so. FEAR may be a great motivator, but it is very poor tool in decision making.

The WORST damage possible to inflict upon this country is the dissolution of Conservatism - That which preserves what this country is and always has been - And the easiest way toward the dissolution of Conservatism is to get Conservatives to vote *FOR* their own antithesis. To remove the only opposition to liberalism... And one does that by forfeiting the principles we are standing upon.

But I need not hope that your OP falls upon deaf ears. I already know that it will.

A Communist or a Socialist. Both enemies of Conservatism.

And since socialism is nothing but a whistle-stop on the road to communism, it is, for all practical purposes, a distinction without a difference.
