Mitt Romney Comes Out in Support of Homosexual Boy Scout Leaders, Members
Christian News ^ | August 6, 2012 | Heather Clark

A spokesperson for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has advised that the former Massachusetts governor disagrees with the Boy Scout’s current policy prohibiting open homosexuals from serving as members and leaders.

According to The Associated Press, Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul told the news outlet in an email that Romney still stands by his beliefs that homosexual men should be able to serve in the organization. She specifically noted that Romney had outlined his views in 1994 during a political debate, and that his stance has not changed.

“I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue,” Romney stated during the debate. “I feel that all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.”

As previously reported, last month, the Boy Scouts of America issued a statement reaffirming its policy prohibiting open homosexuals from joining the organization.

“The committee’s work and conclusion is that this policy reflects the beliefs and perspectives of the BSA’s members, thereby allowing Scouting to remain focused on its mission and the work it is doing to serve more youth,” the statement said. “The review included forthright and candid conversation and extensive research and evaluations — both from within Scouting and from outside of the organization.”

The decision to reiterate and reaffirm the Scout’s current policy followed two years of deliberations from an eleven-member committee comprised of Boy Scout executives and other volunteers who represented “a diversity of perspectives and opinions.”

When all was said and done, the committee concluded that the restriction served as “the best policy” for the Boy Scouts.

The current policy reads, “While the BSA does not proactively inquire about the sexual orientation of employees, volunteers, or members, we do not grant membership to individuals who are open or avowed homosexuals or who engage in behavior that would become a distraction to the mission of the BSA.”

Mitt Romney also recently reiterated his support for homosexual adoption. This past May, in an interview with Neil Cavuto of Fox News, he explained that while he is against the concept of homosexual “marriage,” he does believe that homosexual couples should be able to adopt children.

“[I]f two people of the same gender want to live together, want to have a loving relationship, or even to adopt a child, in my state, individuals of the same sex were able to adopt children. In my view, that’s something that people have a right to do,” Romney outlined. “But, to call that ‘marriage’ is something that in my view is a departure from the real meaning of that word.”

He had first outlined his position on the matter in 1996 while talking to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

“Well, they are able to adopt children,” he said. “I’m not going to change that.”

Prior to Saul serving as Romney’s press secretary, Richard Grenell, an open homosexual, filled the position.

His loyalty to the homo crowd is unflagging——it mystifies me.

You are way to easily mystified.

This article is full of it. From Mittens’ statement:

(1)“I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue,”
BSA had decided to EXCLUDE homosexuals as scout leaders

(2) “I feel that all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.”
As scouts? As leaders? He doesn’t say, nor does he say he thinks they should reconsider a decision he “supports”.

This article is VERY misleading, as it says Romney “comes out in support” of homos in the Scouts, and that he now “disagrees” with BSA’s policy. THIS IS NOT TRUE. She merely said “his stance has not changed”. Well, in the statement above, Romney in 1994 said he supported exclusion of homos. So why is the article’s author lying?

The DNC, Axelrods, Kos, DU, they have all infiltrated FR. I barely recognize it anymore and they have free rein to try to destroy the only viable candidate other than Barry the Marxist Kenyan.

“What is unusual in human history is for someone to be saying, 1Hey, ignore it. It’s no big deal.’”

I find such “amoral” thinking to be scary Chaplain. Unfortunately, some folks only care about their pocketbooks. They would live in a moral sewer as long as they are properous. There are unwise folks out there that actually think that Romney is somehow going to rescue this country by economic means. Pure delusional thinking on their part.

You keep the faith, and keep fighting the good fight brother!

The normal, heterosexual vote is a very powerful thing. If he goes homo now, Americans will drive to a Chic Fil A instead of driving to the voting booth to vote for him.

I agree and if he starts promoting fags, he can kiss any hope of being elected goodbye. However Soetoro is a fag and supports them so either way, we get a homo lover.

"all" still means "all". Romney said it's OK for "all" people to be in Boy Scouts, and that would include what?

Got to see what's going through your mind that you can see "all" and just skip on past it.

"Law in Massachusetts passed by him FORCED adoption agencies to cooperate or else -- and Catholic adoption agencies CLOSED after being in the biz for more than a century"

FACT:

"...Romney filed a bill to defend the religious liberty of Catholic Charities in Massachusetts when a state law tried to force the organization to violate its beliefs by arranging adoptions for gay couples.

Of course they do. There is not a doubt in mind FR is overrun by DU trolls and Soetoro supporters. They are beyond thrilled that they can now come here, bash Romney and support the Kenyan homo. Life is good for them now.

Some people actually “live” what they believe. So if someone actually thinks homosexual marriage/adoption and abortion is wrong, they came from DU or Soros? We are being hypocritical if we only criticize the left for evil policies they take, and not stand up to the wrong in our own party, especially when we can stop it before it happens. If every pro-lifer and pro-true marriage person called the RNC and said they would stay home of Romney is the candidate, we might be able to get a true conservative in. In fact, to give romney the prize of the presidency, while he is guilty of the same things Obama does, is hypocritical. I think their a lot of people who like romney, even they they don't like him socially, but are too embarrassed to admit it.

Social conservatives know Romney doesn't’t care about what is important to us. He assumes we will all vote for him because we have no choice. We do; vote third party or write-in someone. Is the reason some people “expect” us to vote for a guy who is ok with abortion, homosexual marriage/adoption, because THEY are ok with abortion, homosexual marriage/adoption? Romney is offering social conservatives nothing. We don’t need him, HE needs us. Why do some people blame us for not voting for their guy, while NOT expecting ANYTHING FROM ROMNEY?

I'm with you, Hugh -- and I'm a Scot, as well. Have pinged another Scot, which makes three of us.

I abhor Romney's record on abortion, and recognize abortion as murder of an innocent, but the sinners involved -- the doctor and the mother -- are adults responsible for their sin and capable of sincere repentance.

Attempting to normalize homosexuality to children, on the other hand, is a million times more depraved, because those children pulled into the homosexual lifestyle become sinners while innocents, so for them to find repentance for a "sin" they (unlike the doc and mother involved in abortion) were too young to know was a sin, must be monstrously difficult. How can you repent a sin you honestly thought was perfectly okay? It is wickedness and pure depravity to so cavalierly risk putting children in that situation.

MITT ROMNEY promoted and celebrated the "outreach" of Gay Youth Pride to children as young as 12 in Massachusetts. He punished adoption agencies for refusing to cooperate with homosexual wannabee "parents." He condemned and effectively punished the Boy Scouts when he "saved" (ha ha) the Olympics in Utah.

Jesus had pretty strong words for those who "cause little ones to stumble."

I refuse to vote for Romney under any and all circumstances. My fear of God is greater than my fear of Obama. Furthermore, my TRUST in God to help a righteous people is far greater than my trust in Romney to change his ways once in office.

ABO is an affliction, and I pray that conservatives and Republicans get over it before November.

Yep, it does. I also hate it when I’m playing poker and have a pair of Kings and an ace falls on the table. It sucks but I have to play the hand I’m dealt and if it’s Romney or the Kenyan it’s a very easy choice for me.

The Mittbots are the real Obots. They've inflicted an unelectable jerk on us.

Best if they left the Republican party and went back to their Democrat roots.
