We have been posting for years the fact that opponents to Romney's acquiring the presidency will bring about the unveiling of his mormonism...AND....I'm sure it hasn't escaped the notice of his defenders that Mitt himself does not have the fortitude to discuss his religion in detail. He dodges any reference to it.

I believe his reluctance to reveal his tax returns will bring on the attacks on the millions and millions of "charitable" contributions he makes to the mormon church. I can see the Obama campaign making hay with comparing his contributions to those who make contributions to organizations who actually DO charitable works on a daily basis.

ALL: Notice the sheer corrupting power that the Romney candidacy now has upon conservatives, conservative Christians, and GoP people who want to continue to have a "place at the table":

* When it comes to mentioning the realities of Mormonism, it's "toss it to the wind" for many, and even worse, many are saying, "We've become the new apologists for Mormonism."

* When it comes to mentioning Romney's pro-abort statements from May 2005 --> Dec. 2007 (after his supposed "pro-life" conversion), it's "toss it to the wind" -- we'll pretend he didn't say these things...and ignore that we're voting for an outright pro-abort.

* When it comes to mentioning RomneyCare -- and how Romney beat out Hillary & Obama in becoming THE initial socialist healthcare pioneer, it's "let's toss critiquing both Obama & Romney's socialist healthcare to the wind..." lest we be too hypocritical.

* When it comes to repeating all the liberal critiques that many FREEPERs had of Romney for the previous 5+ years (his support of global warming; his pro-homosexual agenda actions; his nomination of judges who were 75% Democrats; etc. etc. etc.), it's "let toss all those conservative principles under the bus"...'cause we're the RINOized 'new GoP.'
