I have never understood why so many Democrats want to avoid this convention.

I was surprised that Nancy Pelosi told her own congress people to stay away.

A political convention is a place to schmooze, network, party with others who share your views, build party loyalty, make connections, ingratiate yourself with powerful people, etc. I can’t believe that so many Democrats are intentionally staying away.

Wow, in the 30 years I have been watching politics this is the first I have ever heard of candidates skipping their party’s convention in these kind of numbers. Occasionally a candidate will skip the convention if he has a really serious challenger But this is A LOT.

The smartest man ever to be President of the United States has become the Typhoid Mary of his party.

The Democrats are running scared. What do they know that they aren’t telling?

If Bernie Sanders is skipping the convention there is something going on. The guy does not even have to campaign his district is so safe.

Thirty One democrat senators and congressmen not showing because they don't want to be seen on national TV with Obama.

Rahm Emanuel is cutting his covention attendance short because he just remembered he has to make an urgent return to Chicago as soon as they can refuel the airplane he will tahe from Chicago to Charlotte. Once he leaves Chicago.

And Hillary can't make it because she had to make an urgent trip to the Island of Timor to see if the lawn sprinkler we sent them is working okay.

Who the eff cares? Their voters don’t watch, don’t keep up with facts. They vote the way their preacher tells them and that’s it. Most couldn’t tell you a damned thing about their state or national reps. Many know their congressman though, he’s the one that gets their lights turned on when they don’t pay the bill for three or four months (9th district TN)

Claire was one of the first sitting senators to dump Hillry (I spell it the way bjClinton says it) and rolled out a RED carpet for Obama in Independence, MO back in 2008. Now these days she is pretending she never knew Obama and is running around trying to fit herself in moderate centrist wardrobe... She is in deceptive mode 'big time'. She won in 2008 by getting the majority of those Frank Luntz 'independents'.
