If You Live in a Blue State, Here Is What You Can Do To Help Romney Beat Obama
Sept. 14, 2012 | Ziva

Posted on 09/14/2012 6:54:13 AM PDT by Ziva

No matter where you live in the USA, you can make a difference in this election by going to http://www.mittromney.com/call-home-landing.

I live in NY, a hopelessly blue state. There is very little I can do locally to help Romney. However, they have an excellent phone-from-home system this year, much better than other phone banks I've done before.

I started making phone calls from home for Romney. It is easy, well-supported, and free. It is important to start now so they can target the right people for the campaign. You can get started at http://www.mittromney.com/call-home-landing

They will direct your calls to the states where they need the most help, so don't worry about calling out-of-state. There are no long-distance charges because the system calls you first to enable you to make the calls to others.

I sat on my hands last election and didn't work because I didn't like McCain. (Of course, I voted.) Even though Romney was not my first choice, another Obama win would be disasterous. Please pass this on to all your political friends. The calls made now help identify voters who can be moved to vote for Romney.

My goal is to make at least 10,000 calls. That comes out to about 200 calls a day which can be done in less than three hours. They really make it quick and easy. I do not want to be partly responsible for 0bama getting reelected.

No one should feel that if he or she can make just 100 calls, it is not worth the effort. EVERY effort helps and WILL make a difference. If you can call only one hour a week, then you WILL have done your part.

I do want to remind of the the reality of phone-banking. Some people will be hostile or rude, may hang up brusquely, insult you, or try to engage you in time-wasting arguments. Just end the call politely and move on to the next call. Do not be discouraged by these calls.

There is a place for notes for each call. If the person is a Romney voter, I ask if they need help getting to the poll or need an absentee ballot and put that information in the note field. If an undecided voter tells me what campaign issue is important to him, I note that as well.

Your important work will show the campaign all undecided voters that can be influenced with campaign materials, and all Romney voters for a get-out-the-vote (GOTV) effort at the end of the campaign.

Many of us are suffering in this bad economy and can donate little money to this campaign. If you do have the money to donate, please do. However, my point is that we all can donate some time to help, and it is as good as money to a campaign.

If you are in red or purple state, then I hope you get involved with the local Romney campaign. You can still use spare time at home to make phone calls.

If you are in a blue state, then please join me in doing what you can from home with phone calls.

Next, please pass this on to your friends everywhere. Let's create an army of workers bigger than the unions do for the Dems. And please let me know personally if this helped you get started working on the campaign.

Thank you, Ziva, for posting. That’s a great idea!

I’d like to share this with those who doubt the need to get rid of Zero at any and all costs, even if that means voting for a “non-conservative” like Romney. In this election, it really is better to vote for the lesser of two evils… At least with Romney, it would appear that the goal is to keep America as #1 in the world. Better an American RINO than an un-American non-American!

This is Dinesh D’souza talking about his book, “Obama’s America: Unmaking the American Dream”. Please watch, if only the first few minutes (it’s a bit long at over an hour, but well worth anyone’s time):

Cheers!

Ivan

You donated money to one of the richest men in America?!

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Latest-News-Wires/2012/0602/Romney-net-worth-remains-near-250-million

If Romney wants the presidency, let him fund it himself.

And if you’ve got money to spend on politicians, spend it on conservatives.”

Fair points, and I have donated directly to several conservative candidates. I hadn’t planned on donating to Romney partly because of what you’re saying (he’s got plenty of $) and partly because I don’t like him all that much. But as the election approaches, I’m getting more pissed off by the day at the media and their utterly transparent attempts to cover up the obvious incompetence of this administration, while Obama skips intel briefings, runs off to Vegas while the Middle East is burning, refuses to meet with Israeli PM while agreeing to go on Letterman, etc. I just can’t take another 4 years of this! And more importantly, our country can’t survive it!

So yeah, I see what you’re saying, but these times are too critical to get hung up with Romney’s imperfections. You can read my rants about Romney during the primaries, we already fought that battle, and we lost. Now we’ve gotta get in the game and get remove this Marxist from the White House. Once we accomplish that, then we can worry about holding Mitt’s feet to the fire and perhaps primarying him in 2016.

Toward that end, I made a small $25 donation to Romney and I’m going to make phone calls for him as well. And not to mention, I’m also working my ‘circle of influence’ to make sure I convince any of my friends that are persuadable that we can’t afford another 4 years of this.

Thanks, lquist1, that is exactly the reason I wrote this post. Most people here never wanted Romney in the primary, but, and forgive me for shouting this:

THE BEST IS THE ENEMY OF THE GOOD.

For some people here, if he isn't the best, he isn't worth supporting. Would they rather have a candidate who agrees with them 60% of the time or one that agrees with them 0.001% of the time?

I hope most of us here wake up and work to prevent a repeat of the debacle that happened in 2008.

Or maybe they will fight Obama. With Romney, the GOP Congress might go 110% socialist.

Buck up, buttercup. I have no patience for people who are so morally dim that they can't tell the difference between Senator Soiled Utility Room and Romney, and having patience for such foolishness isn't a sign of maturity.

The door to DU is to your left. If you're going to spend the time between now and November putting out such blather, do it over there.

Exactly. That alone would be enough to get me to vote for Romney...imagine the Justices Obama will appoint if he wins...and he may get a chance at three.

You sir are and impressive thinker and clearly superior to little ol me. During my second tour of Viet Nam I learned that in the face of tough situations patience can save you and others. Im sure your a tough guy and would like to kick my ass and probably can. I reject however that you are morally superior to anything you wanna name.

Now, if you want me outta here your gonna have to try harder than that. And for your consideration I will do what ever I please between now and November without any need for your permission and I hope you do the same cause you dont need mine. That, in case you didnt know it is what liberty is about..

Really? You served in Vietnam and you can’t tell the difference between a commie and a couple of patriotic guys you disagree with on policy like Romney and Ryan? Maybe Obama could do a presser in black pajamas so you could get a clue.

Thanks for serving. Please get over yourself.

Excellent point. If re-elected, Obama may get to appoint 3 Supremes.

Who cares who wins.
******
If nothing else, how’s the specter of $10 gas, rationing and long lines at filling stations (yes, its happened before), and skyrocketing utility costs strike you? And the rapidly rising costs of virtually everything that’s transported. Do you care about that? If not, think about the disastrous impact and hardship this will have on everyone you know.

I guraantee you that if Obama is re-elected there will be an economic collapse that will cause severe social unrest.

LOL pretty amazing a couple of you folks on here are making me the issue ... seems your the ones obsessed kinda like the press reaction to your guy Romney for his statements on the Cairo mess.
I dont trust either party. The left is transparently commie but the so called republican right has obscured their communist tendencies with the rhetoric of liberty.... Just go back and see who did what to kill the constitution, grow government and trample our liberty. Just in my adult lifetime the republicans created vast new agencies to control us and have spent recklessly expanding social give aways and subsidies to their friends and constituents. Bush started tarp, stimulus, expanded welfare, federal control of education and the auto take over... The republican congress has given Obama every dime he wanted and refuses to defend us against his unconstitutional moves..

I hate the commies and would happily go to war with them again, here or anywhere... I detest the republicans for the frauds they are. Some may love to fanaticize that they will save us and the country.. however If the past and trends tell us anything ... they will not... they will only destroy the country a little slower.

We need a new political revolution to build a true american conservative party in this country but as long as enablers of the existing parties dominate it will never happen.

I have not made this about me... you have! Now to follow your own advise... please get over me. That goes for the rest of you here that would rather throw insults at me than face bitter reality.

Thank you for your comments on my service..

Unfortunately, you're correct.

Government went completely out of control many years ago, and year after year became incrementally corrupt and controlling. It's too far gone, too corrupt, too many entrenched insiders, too many corrupt special interest groups...From bankers to the borders.

It's very unfortunate, but America will never be turned around by traditional means.

Is there something people can do to prevent Romney from imposing socialism on the United States like Obama does? Maybe people would be better imposed fighting against socialized medicine that Obama and Romney want?

As imperfect as McCain is, I don’t think he would’ve given us Sotomayor, Kagin or anything like Obamacare.
