"The Jerry Doyle Show The Jerry Doyle Show Published 1-Oct-2012 in TRN Central News

Central Point, OR – Today begins the first in a series of changes to bring talk radio firmly into the 21st century. For too long, we’ve had to choose between ratings and salability, but no longer. Today the 6th largest syndicated talk show in America replaces what was the 3rd largest show, and in so doing, stations will get more light and less heat, a show that they can sell locally with pride, but also a show that will respect its stations, advertisers and audiences with a brilliance that sets great shows apart from good ones.

The show that premieres today in the 3pm to 6pm Pacific (6pm to 9pm Eastern) slot has earned its place in the Talkers Magazine rankings as the 6th largest syndicated talk radio show in America, through merit. TRN Enterprises owns no stations – our shows have to earn their keep and stations love what this show does for them - through merit alone.

Today that show will jump several spots to become the new 3rd or 4th largest syndicated show in the United States.

Jet pilot, Wall Street investment banker for 10 years, Hollywood star for 12 years, former congressional nominee and now radio giant who has earned his right to this spot for close to 9 years. Jerry Doyle is the future of talk radio. He will bring massive audiences through word of mouth because he is brilliant and funny, showing both emotional and intellectual range that is beyond rare.

The Jerry Doyle Show is eminently saleable. He understands the advertising business like few others; Jerry is a triple-rated William Morris Agency voice-over artist who has voiced national ads for AT&T, Chevrolet, TGI Fridays, Anheiser-Busch, Panasonic, The US Armed Forces and many others.

Jerry will work with his stations reading their ads and promo’s, because he understands radio isn’t about host ego, it’s about high levels of performance, and it’s about business.

Jerry shows up 5 days a week, 3 full hours a day because his work ethic is second to none.

Mark Masters, CEO of TRN Enterprises, notes that, “Jerry Doyle is the vanguard of talk radio’s next evolutionary step, and he has been setting the standard for talk radio’s profitable, saleable and sustainable future for some time now, with commentary that is entertaining, memorable and responsible. Good work Jerry, as you jump from the 6th largest show to the 3rd largest show in America - you deserve this day – you have earned it.”

JD has replaced Savage with TRN; that's all. It's highly unlikely he can keep very much of Savage's audience. Doyle had the advantage of appearing when most of the big names are safely off the air and he had no competition, and Savage's audience is simply not going to go for him.

He's just "OK."

If Savage can sign with a new syndication partner, I would not look for Doyle or TRN to hold the timespot in any major market for very long.

A 'populist' these days is someone against illegal aliens and bank bailouts.

You can call me a 'populist' anytime.

You are wrong. Doyle is good.

When Savage is on a roll, he's very very good. But he's also at other times a total downer, a curmudgeon and irrational plus he donated to Moonbeam, which I still don't get.

Anyway, give Jerry Doyle a listen. I think you'll like him.

“Today the 6th largest syndicated talk show in America replaces what was the 3rd largest show, and in so doing, stations will get more light and less heat,....”

Huh??? Sounds like a great business decision!...LOL/sarc

Let’s see we are going to rid ourselves of the 3rd largest radio show for the 6th largest so we won’t catch so much crap from the left?

If he has done a better show than Savage, where has he been?
He may fill the time slot, but will never have the numbers Savage had.
The airways are filled with middle of the roaders. Doyle will just be another one.

I like Kuhner’s writing but his voice and style are just nails on chalkboard to me.

Eff the left. Are there any Execs with balls anymore? Savage is great, he was the Evangelist that made me realize I am a Conservative. I didn’t care about politics until 9/11/01. I was 26 at the time and 4 years honorably discharged from the Marines.

He’s an “Independent” that has some good stuff, some not so good, a very irritating alter ego voice and an absolute visceral hatred of social conservatives. I usually have to turn him off if I start listening.

Well I am glad that my station KCMO dumped Savage last year. They must have know. Then since KMBZ the rival had no room for Levin then KCMO replaced Savage with Levin

As for Doyle, I was misguided enough to search him out once in 2010 and he is a libertarian anti-conservative. Think Mike Church or Republic Broadcast Network.

YES!!! Jerry rocks! Savage is an irritating lunatic.

Thanks for posting this. I subscribe to his website for $30 a year and get every episode commercial free as a podcast.

Some of you may not like that he hammers those of us on the "far right" sometimes, but he is right there with us, believe me.

Oh, he gave me an autographed pic for my birthday last year, too (probably because I am a Babylon 5 fan as well as a Jerry Doyle fan). Class act.

Savage wants to either go to a better time slot and do radio his way or being online on some sort of underground radio. That was what he said last night. He thinks he can take on Rush.

Jerry Doyle is a good show. He is no Micheal Savage. He is very interesting in a different way. If you have to have a replacement for Savage there are certainly far worse choices. I like both of them. Some politics with some side adventures.

The guy, GD, does NOT STOP FOR AIR.

That can be very irritating in a talk show host.

Motor mouth.

Gives me a headache.

I get it from that open-lesbian conservative talk show host as well out of LA, forget her name now. Motor mouth, and screeching voice to boot.

True. Populists are the ones against Illegal Aliens and bank bailouts

The opposite of a populist would be a socialist
