And so begins our annual 7th TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.

TexasCowboy (aka COB1) was a true Texas gentleman, great friend, patriot, and a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment. It is truly an honor to continue a tradition he started many years ago, hosting shoots for FRiends around the great state of Texas.
Many FReepers are coming into town on Thursday so that they can have a tourist day on Friday. Those lucky people are going to be made (a good) miserable Thursday evening by enjoying TheMom’s Kick Ass Enchilada’s.
The only set tourist place is The Lady Lex.
Friday evening we will meet at Captain Benny’s, 103 Fulton Beach Road Fulton, TX 78382, at 8:00 p.m., for a delicious seafood dinner. (They do not take credit cards or serve liquor ~ so remember to bring your cash & booze.)
Saturday morning we meet for breakfast at Alice Faye’s, 910 North Fulton Beach Road, Fulton, TX 78358, at 8:00 a.m. The shoot is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. at, Schwenke’s Gun & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069 Aransas Pass, TX, 78336. Mr. Schwenke has reserved the 25 yard shooting station for our group to use as “home base”. The only major rule at this range is do not shoot the livestock. A BBQ lunch will be served at 12:30ish.
Once the shooting is done some of us will be going to the Rockport Seafair, while others will go back to the Pelican Bay cottages for some R&R. Saturday evening will be filled with yummy junk food and margaritas!
According to the forecast, it looks as the weather will be perfect. Lows in the mid-sixty’s, highs in the mid-eighty’s.

Can you send this to the whole ping list ... Yes, you must pay for your reservation in full when you book. Their cancellation policy is $100 fee per cottage with no specified advance notice. They prefer that you reschedule if you can’t make it for whatever reason. There is no fee/cost to do that. They’ll just move your reservation to your newly selected date(s).
Laurenmarlowe and I have a room with two bedrooms and a pull out couch and maybe even some twin beds—I need to check further on the accomodations. LOL! I had to do this in sort of a hurry! NYT gets stuff started fast. :)
You are welcome to stay with us and pay later in cash if you wish and if it would be easier on the ol’ pocketbook.
I wasn’t really ready to do the whole pay up front, but didn’t want to miss out. LOL! We have lots of time to sort all this out. :)
Lol...I know what you mean about telling Dr.O...A is the same way. I just did it and told him about it a few minutes ago when he got back from the store. He was pissed all of 3 minutes. No biggy....lol. I am always hesitant to make reservations for trips so early but hopefully nothing will go wrong.

Pen booked hers, too and I think I will have to tell DrO tomorrow, (during his happy times watching football)...LOL. I want him to come with me this time, especially since Pen’s husband is coming and DrO already knows him in person.

A is a prince of a man! Much nicer and calm than W. I have to carefully choose my spots. LOL. Thankfully, his Chargers don’t play till Monday night. I can find a game tomorrow to tell and ask him! BTW, I’m attending with or without him. It’s on my way to San Diego for the graduations.
