Things quickly turned sour for President Obama yesterday in San Francisco at what was supposed to be a stopover in friendly territory. Instead, he was greeted by angry protesters from both wings of the political spectrum. Even independent libertarians expressed their disappointment in a president that seems to be hemorrhaging support with each passing day.
Protesters swirled around the entrance to the Bill Graham Auditorium, tormenting the ticket-holders waiting in line to see Obama and radical socialist musician Michael Franti. What made this particular protest unique was that its participants spanned the entire spectrum of American politics, from conservatives to leftists, from marijuana enthusiasts to the NRA, from the Tea Party to Code Pink, from Occupy San Francisco to Porn Stars for Romney to PETA, and everyone in between. Who can unite them all? Only Obama!
This Romney fan (who caucused with the Tea Party protesters) pretty much summed up the mood of the day.
Just steps away, this anti-drone activist (who caucused with World Cant Wait) was even more harsh with his criticism of Obama.
The states rights-minded marijuana advocates were unhappy with Obama for clamping down on pot clinics, even in states with medical marijuana laws.
They even deployed their most potent weapon, the dreaded Giant Puppet.
Didnt matter where each protest group fell on the political spectrum they all were unhappy with Obama.
Who else showed up to protest the president?
Occupy Wall Street? Check.
The NRA? Check.
Code Pink? As always.

This is what happens when you try to be everything to everybody and turn out to be a nothing.
Interesting that a musician, Franti, would be described as a “radical socialist” musician. Yep, ol’ Barry, he’s a real uniter, he has all the solutions, what a guy. Where’s D.J. White when you really need him?
Whose likeness is on the yellow badges a couple of the Occupy S.F. people are wearing? Looks like he has a beret but I can’t figure out which of the leftist heroes they are honoring.
Thank God the nude wackos weren’t protesting. It could have gotten....ugly.
It’s Bradley Manning.
Ding, ding, ding - we have a thread winnah!
Great stuff, hilarious. The Disaster is probably funding the Left wing whackos in order to marginalize the opponents who are NOT crazy. That would fit the Axelrod m.o.
0bama, the great Uniter... now it’s clear why I call him 0zer0. He started as nothing, and will finish as nothing. Who couldn’t see this coming?
Make no mistake, 95% of these libs/progs/parasites will still vote for BO.
Remember how 9-11 united Americans in a way we hadn’t seen since maybe, World War II? It is a rare event that brings Americans together as one. And then along came the Obamanation who, in his 2008 election campaign, claimed to be the one who could unite us all again to make America stronger than ever. Of course that campaign promise was total BS. Obama proved to be the most intentionally divisive president in American history. How ironic then, at the end of his first and last term as President, that he is the reason so many disparate groups are now united by a shared goal: to retire Obama as President of the United States.
Maybe, maybe not. Some (perhaps more than the 5% you're predicting) will stay home to "teach the Democrats a lesson" about not taking them for granted.
Something like how some SoCons are declaring they will stay home or vote write-in/third-party rather than vote for a Republican they feel is imperfect.
Franti is a radical socialist, eh? That puts him pretty far to the right of Obimbo.
But but but what about all those famous Hollywood types, and those millionaires, and all those foreign dictators who LOVE Obama?
Is it possible that no one will be inviting him to their parties any more?
How much fun will that be to watch!
Great post!
Thanks for the ping. Rush is on fire this week too.
I’m ready to believe that Obozo is actually goin’ down big time!
Was Cindy Sheehan there? Where’s Cindy?
Dear Lord thank you for letting me escape that hellhole — I lived one block away (at Fox Plaza) from where those protestors were gathered for two years.
Although it was kind of fun to see the homos get tear gassed when they protested Fred Phelps showing up on Halloween in 1990. I did not have too much fun getting in and out of my apartment building during the run up to the Gulf War (and during the war) and during the gay pride marches during May. Damm, what a $#!+hole San Francisco became.
>> 95% of these libs/progs/parasites will still vote for BO.
Yeah, *if* they manage not to drink/smoke/sleep their way through election day right up until after the polls close. Their motivation to vote has to be diminished somewhat.
Nah, I think Cindy is still busy fighting off the crowds at her booksigning in Peoria. ;-)
