It’s four to one - the cameraman’s on the Obama team (will someone please do an analysis of how long each man was on the screen? Ryan has to share the screen with Biden - unless he smirks... Biden gets the screen to himself), the moderator is a liberal and shows it (not as bad as I had assumed), Biden, and someone in the audience who tells Biden when to ramp up emotion and when to lower it. He looks at the person when Ryan talks... Charming. And eff the cameraman ...
It actually takes time to explain this stuff - something these “debate” formats don’t allow. Like Steve Forbes in 2000, Ryan knows his stuff, has the right answers, but is an accountant type and doesn’t have the charismatic “buzz.”
Ole Joe seems to think you win by speaking faster and louder, and laughing when your opponent has spoken.

You are right, Miss Didi...this is not a debate. It is a street fight. Biden and the moderator are not playing by the rules...they are tag-teaming Ryan.

What “we” forget is that the perception is different for people who aren’t political junkies. I would say that 90% of them tuned out after 10 minutes, watching baseball.
For truly undecided voters, the choice tonight is presented between a serious adult and a smart-assed 5th grader with bad hair plugs.
I’m only following along here, but it sounds like somebody needs to go over the video when it’s done and tabulate the time given to Ryan vs Biden vs Raddatz and also make a chart of the number of times that Biden interrupted, that Ryan interrupted, and that Raddatz interrupted Biden and interrupted Ryan.
The statistics should show it all.
She actually asked a couple pointed questions to Joe on Afghanistan. And he couldn’t find an answer . . .
There is one underlying current between the two debates.
Obama and Biden are too good for this. They’re too good for the Republicans and too noble to condescend to a debate with their lessers. They’re too good for We The People.
Ryan’s knocking Biden out and he isn’t even trying. Slow Joe is doing it to himself through his own arrogant, Democrats-are-better-than-the-common-people attitude.
