BOMBSHELL: US Troops Wouldn't Have Been Painting Targets on Ground Unless There Was Air Support..
Gateway Pundit ^ | October 26, 2012 | Jim Hoft

BOMBSHELL: US troops in Benghazi would not have been painting targets on the ground unless there was air support overhead. But someone called it off – And the decision most likely came from the White House.

FOX News reported earlier today that security officers on the ground in Benghazi had a laser planted on a target that was firing on the annex.

The team was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. In fact, at least one member of the team was on the roof of the annex manning a heavy machine gun when mortars were fired at the CIA compound. The security officer had a laser on the target that was firing and repeatedly requested back-up support from a Spectre gunship, which is commonly used by U.S. Special Operations forces to provide support to Special Operations teams on the ground involved in intense firefights.

So there were two drones in the air recording the attack on the ground. And now we know the CIA team at the annex was in constant radio contact with their headquarters. The White House was able to watch the attack live back in Washington DC. Yet, yesterday Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said this,

“The U.S. military did not get involved during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, last month because officials did not have enough information about what was going on before the attack was over.”

How much more information did they need?

* * * * *

Then there’s this bombshell at BlackFive from a former Delta operator:

Having spent a good bit of time nursing a GLD (ground Laser Designator) in several garden spots around the world, something from the report jumped out at me.

One of the former SEALs was actively painting the target. That means that Specter WAS ON STATION! Probably an AC130U. A ground laser designator is not a briefing pointer laser. You do not “paint” a target until the weapons system/designator is synched; which means that the AC130 was on station.

Only two places could have called off the attack at that point; the WH situation command (based on POTUS direction) or AFRICOM commander based on information directly from the target area.

If the AC130 never left Sigonella (as Penetta says) that means that the Predator that was filming the whole thing was armed.

If that SEAL was actively “painting” a target; something was on station to engage! And the decision to stand down goes directly to POTUS!

This is HUGE. It should be obvious by now that someone is not telling the truth. As Blackfive says,

“This is bigger than Watergate!… The worst has to be the team on the ground knowing that the President just left you to die.“

A caller today discussed this with Rush Limbaugh.

(VIDEO AT LINK)

Here is part of that conversation.

CALLER: Well, there’s three networks, Rush. The e-mails that have been released are unclassified e-mails. On the top secret side, a flash traffic message from the embassy Tripoli to the White House Situation Room, it’s like an IM. I mean, it’s immediately responded to. You have to acknowledge receipt of it. Okay? So it’s immediate. It gets to the person, the watch officer sitting there, boom, flashes on his screen, he has to acknowledge receipt. And then there’s a protocol for who he then sends it to. He physically turns to someone, the senior guy on watch, “This is a critical element of information. POTUS needs to hear this,” and that’s what would have happened.

So no one in the White House can deny that — well, they can deny it, but the fact is the protocol says someone marched their happy little ass up to the senior guy standing next to POTUS and said, “Sir, ambassador in Libya is in peril.” And if he was missing, that is even a higher precedence. And then the chain would have also gone out automatically to the geographic combatant commander, AFRICOM, and he would have then turned to his special operations commander and said, “I want the In-Extremis Force, you know, strip ready in five minutes.” And evidently they were strip ready in Sigonella and they would have the assets to penetrate the airspace, you know, an MC-130 papa, which is a C-130 specially equipped with electronic countermeasures. They didn’t need permission to enter Libyan airspace, okay?

I’m giving you a lot of Inside Baseball stuff, and maybe putting myself in a little peril by doing it, but the In-Extremis Force, they would have been chomping at the bit to do this. It was turned down, POTUS, at his five p.m. Eastern time meeting with the principals, that’s when he put the kibosh on everything. It was a conscious act. It has to be because, you know, the In-Extremis Force is required to be prepared to do In-Extremis non-combatant evacuation operations for its geographic responsibility, the entire continent of Africa. So there’s always somebody ready to go, and the aircraft are always prepared to go.

I’m not talking about getting him out of office. I’m talking about getting him in jail where he belongs.

"Best case scenario: Obama doesn’t and hasn’t cared about the responsibility of POTUS in the last 6+ months and ignored it."

You've gotta be kidding me.

Six+ months?

If that is your goal, good luck, it is a worthy one. Reality, never gonna happen without the gun still smoking and his bloody prints on it. Politics will intervene. I wish it wasn't so, but I also wish I was taller, I'll get neither wish. If that is your only outlook, like Bluto I suggest you start drinking heavily. This isn't Rome, absent the CW your goal has no probability. Drive him from office in a landslide, humiliate his economic policy by prospering, crush his initiatives, purge the Executive branch of his minions, destroy his acolytes in the agencies that remain.

When rulers are above the rule of law all you can ever have is crap. The country and system are broken and will keep getting the same results until we change something to keep the rulers accountable to the law.

They are accountable under the Constitution, you just don't like the remedy.

The country and system are broken

So in your opinion, the Constitution is meaningless? Congrats, you are now just like 0bama and the rest of the lefties.

will keep getting the same results until we change something to keep the rulers accountable to the law.

What is your Constitutional remedy? Or if casting aside that document, what is your non-constitutional remedy? You want something other than what is Constituional, you are an enemy, not a friend of the US. What now makes you different than those 'rulers' you rail against? You toss the law ie. the Constitution, what law do you assert in its place?

Your argument is at best masturbatory. You rail against 'the system' but propose no legal option. Just wish to be taller. It doesn't make any sense either.

I propose that if the cops have evidence that a politician - any politician - committed a felony, they go arrest him just like they would arrest anybody else. I believe it’s called equal protection and due process.

Is that unconstitutional? Where in the Constitution does it say that a President cannot be arrested for felonies committed? Where does it say that the 14th Amendment - guaranteeing equal protection and due process - doesn’t apply to the President?

You are most likely correct on all counts, but who in the world will do it? Would the CiC have the Secret Service protecting him from an arrest? We’ve never been here before as far as I can recall.

Incompetence my azz! Our Muslim C-in-C would rather our 4 brave people get killed than fight the Muslim extremists. Because Al Qaeda is no longer strong is the operative meme since Bin Laden was killed by Navy Seals.

From quoted retired Delta operator, "Jeff is correct (about lasing without air asset) but the only reason you would do that is to determine a specific grid for indirect fire which the SEAL did not have available. You are in an active firefight against mortars and MGs; there is only one reason to cease returning fire and paint a target and it ain't because you thought it was a good time to pull a PMCS on your fucking GLD."

Update #5 aside (at Blackfive), this quote is on the money. Something was on overwatch at that point in time that the SEAL on the ground either knew, or thought, was armed and capable of putting fire on the bad guys.
I'm not buying any other explanation. And, a 'no-go' decision was made to let these people die.

"Old Boy" message traffic about this is hot, heavy and getting mean.

...they go arrest him just like they would arrest anybody else.

You can't arrest a sitting President just like you would anybody else, for the same reason you can't arrest Members of Congress on the way to a session. The importance of his official duties precludes it. (Doesn't matter that he's not actually fulfilling those duties, just that he has them.)

The DC police used to have fits over President Grant's speeding on capital streets, but they couldn't arrest him for it. (And before anybody says something stupid, I shall point out that President Grant, being a fancier of fast horses, had a number of them that could exceed the DC speed limit.)

The thing to do in the present case is either 1)impeach and convict him, thus removing him from office, or 2) vote him out, same result.

It would have to be somebody at the non-federal level. Federal law enforcement is under the control of Eric Holder. Not gonna happen there.

I recognize the fear that law enforcement would use the power to arrest as a political tool. Like Mike Nifong and Ronnie Earl. But as it is right now we’ve got law enforcement politicized because there are law enforcement people who are afraid to make arrests even when there is WAY over the standards for a legal arrest - because they don’t want to APPEAR “political”. If anything but the evidence makes your law enforcement decision for you then it is a travesty of justice. What should determine whether an arrest is made is the quality and amount of evidence of the crime. And there are law enforcement and legal standards for that - what constitutes probable cause.

I am not averse to the idea of politicians’ cases being expedited so that law enforcement is not used as a political weapon. Removing the ability for political hit jobs by law enforcement being successful is actually a part of ensuring equal protection for politicians, I think.

I know the pitfalls and why somebody would be afraid of a President being able to be arrested. But I also know the pitfalls if we have a President who CAN’T be arrested. And we have to seriously consider how to avoid BOTH pitfalls, because we have a POTUS right now who is known to have committed perjury at least 4 times. And without committing that perjury he could never have been in a position to screw our military, national security, and Constitution. The seed of all the treason we’re seeing from Obama and his regime right now was the crime of perjury that they committed 4 years ago and again this year.

Well, we certainly agree there. That is less likely than Impeachment and Removal with this horribly ill electorate and the MSM. He will be there until either January 21, 2013, or January 20, 2017, or, I hate to tell you this, but after 4 more years of this jackass, who knows if he will pull something to stay there. No need to scream anything back, but we are losing our Republic and this election is going to determine if we will lose it or hang on to it by threads.

Arrest him while he’s golfing then. Congress-critters have been arrested for drunk driving, haven’t they? Presumably because they were not on the way to a Congressional session.

The whole principle of “Absolute power corrupts absolutely” comes into play here. If these people are guaranteed the ability to break the laws with impunity, then we’ll get nothing but law-breaking from them. That’s just a fact, and we’re seeing it right now. If we have no way to hold these people accountable to the law BETWEEN ELECTIONS, then we are guaranteed lawlessness.

I agree with everything you said.

We already have governance that is WAY, WAY unconstitutional. Failed law enforcement is just one symptom of that.

But until we figure out how to make the rule of law stick, we’re never going to get any better than what we’ve got now. Especially now that we’ve seen the “conservative” media threatened into silence on Constitutionally critical law enforcement issues such as the eligibility issue and Obama’s perjury, forgery, etc. If they can be threatened into silence on that, they can be threatened into silence on anything, and the political remedies are totally broken because the politicians will always do what it takes to get on the good side of the media. They are the gate-keepers of elections, in many ways.

The new media is helping to change that scenario, but the new media doesn’t have the ability to create legal consequences. Every person on this earth could know that Obama committed perjury, and as long as the people who can do something about it all are beholden to (and dependent on) the threatened media, we’ll all be screwed - and the Constitution and rule of law will be screwed too.

That’s a really gaping vulnerability in our entire system, and I believe it is critical that we address it.

Committed perjury four times you say. When, where and when was he convicted of it or indicted? What was the jurisdiction? Say Citizen, just denounce him to the Party, or does the President because he is such a dick in your eyes deserve no trial or or due process. And if he has none, what the hell do you think you'd have?

That’s a really gaping vulnerability in our entire system, and I believe it is critical that we address it.

Critical yes, but who is the 'we' you speak of? You bitch, but have put forth no solutions. Sack up, and say what is on your mind. You despise the Constitutional way, the guillotine is the next option, but you don't have the stones to recommend it, much easier to rail from the bench.

Unlike the Congress, the Presidency is always in session.

If these people are guaranteed the ability to break the laws with impunity, then we’ll get nothing but law-breaking from them.

This regime reflects the character of the people who voted it in. I should point out that the President is put under oath to discharge his duties faithfully. Time was when people rightly feared to take such an oath without intending to fulfil it, but we now have an incumbent who apparently regarded it as just a vibration in the air. He'll find the situation is otherwise.

You obviously know nothing about me. I have been pushing in every way I know how for Obama to have due process just like anybody else would have. For the sake of the Constitution. Ask anybody about that.

He has not been convicted or indicted of it but he should be arrested for it (which is the starting point for due process) because the Hawaii state registrar has legally confirmed to AZ SOS Ken Bennett that Obama’s Hawaii birth certificate is legally non-valid. IOW, he had to have been using a different BC his whole life long, which means he knows darn good and well he was not eligible.

And yet he twice signed an affidavit in Arizona swearing that he was (once in 2008 and again in 2012), and I know I’ve got documents from at least one other state where he did the same; I’d have to look through them all to remember which states.

I believe in the rule of law under the Constitution and I have invested literally thousands of hours in trying to have LEGAL EVIDENTIARY STANDARDS simply followed.

Let me tell you something that might help you know where we’re at in this country, and what I’ve been doing regarding the rule of law. I was on the phone for probably 45 minutes with the legal department of NE SOS John Gale. I was told that even if the signers of Obama’s Official Certification of Nomination were sitting in jail convicted of perjury and election fraud for signing that OCON, NE law would still require the SOS to put Obama’s name on the ballot because the law doesn’t specifically state that the OCON has to be LAWFUL (non-perjurious and non-fraudulent). The standard being used here is that perjury and fraud only apply in legal instances where it is specifically mentioned that legal actions aren’t allowed to be perjurious and fraudulent.

Think about that. I checked, and Nebraska tax law says that taxes have to be paid with LAWFUL money, but I want to see if the laws about doctor’s certification say it has to be a LAWFUL certification. If not, I could Photoshop one and present it and that would have to be effective, according to the standards being used by the SOS’s office. This is the kind of crappy game these people are playing - not just with politicians but with EVERYTHING. I’ve been saying this for some time. And it has very little to do with Obama himself - and has EVERYTHING to do with due process and equal protection.

I have sitting right here by my computer the return receipts showing that every state SOS was notified via a certified mail letter from Attorney Larry Klayman that the OCON they received is fraudulent - as legally confirmed by HI state registrar Alvin Onaka. I have the proof that DNC Counsel Bob Bauer received that letter from Klayman by courier at 2:27pm EDT 4 days before the DNC Convention began. He knowingly suborned perjury when he presented that OCON to Germond and Villaigarosa to sign, and he knowingly committed election fraud when he submitted those OCONs to the state SOS’s to have Obama placed on the state ballots. I’ve got the proof right here in front of me. And I will act on that proof. The law requires me to report this to law enforcement, or be guilty of misprision of perjury and fraud myself.

Now tell me again how you can be so sure that I despise due process. And tell me again why the Constitution forbids the criminal reports I am legally required to file from having any effect. Tell me what a traitorous, Constitution-hating, pitchfork-wielding b!tch I am for spending thousands of hours pursuing the truth and working to have the truth make a difference through legal, law enforcement channels. Tell me how I have not put forth any solutions, while I work within the system we already have, to see that criminal complaints are filed - complaints that you tell me the Constitution forbids from making any difference.

And then remind me of how I have been sitting on the bench these past 4 years.

I’ve looked at your posting history. I hope you’re not my nephew. Probably not, because the LCMS Lutheran nephew I have who is familiar with the military to the level that you are is in Okinawa right now. My LCMS pastor husband doesn’t have any family who is that familiar with weaponry. I think you don’t realize who you are talking to or what I’ve done. No offense taken, but just be aware that you are not talking to a couch-potato quarterback here. I don’t libel or slander people. I tell people what I believe, why I believe it, and whether or not I have evidence to back up my beliefs. I have always pushed for legal standards and protocols to be applied to Obama.

And we have evidence from HI state registrar Alvin Onaka which says there is probable cause (reason for an arrest to be made) that Obama is guilty of at least 4 instances of perjury. I can tell you that the 1960-64 birth index at the HDOH does not contradict what Onaka confirmed, because I have already posted publicly the documentation I have that the index contains names from legally non-valid birth records.
