Democrats hold a 10-point lead over Republicans on the Generic Congressional Ballot for the week ending December 9, 2012.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters would vote for the Democrat in their district’s congressional race if the election were held today, while 36% would choose the Republican instead.

The America I knew and pledged allegiance to is long gone. A marxist/redistributionist electorate, and a cesspool of a culture that celebrates dope, fag-marriage, and every other kind of evil and degeracy it comes across. The only good thing I can say about that is that, when the country finally crashes and burns, I won’t be expending any energy mourning it.

You’re kidding, right? You think the GOP should wake up? How about the American people waking up? They are blind, dumb and stupid.

This poll just reflects the continued stupidity of what Rush Limbaugh calls "low information voters," plus the way that the House GOP leadership seems to be caving on the "fiscal cliff" negotiations, as portrayed by the MSM.

It does seem a bit strange for Ras to be polling generic congressional ballot now, when the newly elected Congress hasn't even been sworn in yet. The only vote for the House that counts right now is the one that took place last November 6.

Yeah I’m unfortunately used to seeing the leftist turds here running the state. Ronald Reagan loved California, build his library here, and he wouldn’t recognize this state if he were alive today..I was born and raised here and its becoming more and more difficult everyday to want to live here anymore. Id love to move to a red state, for once know how it feels to live in a red state. Would love to move to Texas, Ive heard about how some areas are more leftists but at least the rest of the state is Conservative

I no longer give a smelly Obama about the Republican Party.

If the dim-bulb-crat opponent on my ballot is not opposed by a conservative, it’s not worth voting.

Die, RINOs, die.

Die, die, die, suffer, suffer, die, die, die.

Oh, forgot, especially you, Boehner.

But what were the sampling beak downs, Oh wait, (never mind)

Lets face it, the 47% became the 52% and will soon become the 60% if the stupid GOP don’t get off their a$$es and defend themselves.

RE :”This poll just reflects the continued stupidity of what Rush Limbaugh calls “low information voters,” plus the way that the House GOP leadership seems to be caving on the “fiscal cliff” negotiations, as portrayed by the MSM.”

And so does Rush say that if R house members just held firm on voters (<$250K) taxes going up unless Obama’s agrees that Rush gets an extension too, that the poll would be flipped?

Republicans have little choice but to extend the <250 separately and they never actually said they wouldnt.

But because they havent done it yet Obama gets to play out the act like he is forcing them to see reason and protect the voters. So when they finally do he will say "I saved you a tax increase"

Alternatively if they passed it too soon Obama might just add more demands given that there is still time.

Simple solution — out Dem the Dems.

An Obamaphone if ypu vote Dem?
Why, we will give you 10 phones if you vote Repub.
And raise
the minimum wage to $1,000 per hour!

And a free Mercedes or Lexus to everyone!

That will get the Repubs a landslide victory.

Problem solved!

Makes sense to me. The only Congressional "Republican" any one has heard since the election has been John Boehner making a fool of himself, and being trashed by the media as if the campaign was still on.

This is not the America our Founding Fathers would recognize anymore

Correct. There is no silent majority sitting in the background ready to step in and do the right thing. Once upon a time that was generally true. People may have voted the wrong way from time to time, but the majority of the people were still, at heart, rugged individualist who believed in free markets and individual liberty. That is just not true anymore.

What passes for the American public now is much more like Europe - perhaps even worse in many ways. Our immigrants to this land don't much care about it. People come here to make a buck and feed off our national carcass.

Lots of people think if only the GOP would throw out the "establishment" and be more conservative that we'd some how be more popular. I doubt that is true. Politicians will do whatever it takes to be popular and win elections. If Boehner and company thought taking a harder line on tax cuts and being more conservative would make them more loved, they'd do it. Particularly on social issues, the country is just not conservative any longer. Maybe on fiscal/spending areas a good message will make more headway, but traditional views on social issues are dead.

That’s not what’s happening.

The GOP has not only given people not reason to vote for it, it has given people a reason to vote against it.

By its cowardly actions, the GOP’s very existence not only facilitates the demcorats everything they want and more, and also provides the democrats a scapegoat for giving it to them.

I would actually argue that it makes more sense to vote the entire GOP out of existence and just let the democrats kill this country in their name only with no one else to blame, because this country is going to die, and the only thing that ***damn GOP is doing is helping it die by putting their stupid, useless fingerprints on the murder weapon.

Funny how there are so many founder’s quotes that make that ammo reminder... and echoed not by a single liberal today.

I guess to varying degrees we should measure things. I prefer we get rid of notable rinos...the idea of wholesale shifting into a third party is STUPID and anyone suggesting that might as well give democrats the country now! Conservatism by it’s definition is to conserve or retain, not to be crazy and irrationally ideological.

“The poll makes no sense. How can people (supposedly independents) switch their decision to vote Democrat just because Obama won?”

Because the “standard model” of independents is wrong, as Obama has now proven twice.

Independents don’t respond to begging (supplicating). They want to be told, not asked. The Romney convention was a carbon copy of the Kerry convention of 2004.

Independents are (mostly) weak minded scum. They don’t think - they follow the strong horse. In the last two cycles, that was Obama. He didn’t listen to the political consultant establishment - he went hard Left. And the mushy middle followed.

The only answer to this phenomenon (except for enforcing the 22nd amendment) is to go hard Right in 2016. Romney was our Kerry.

We need to find our Obama - with or without the GOP.
