I wouldn't say anything until the toxicology report on this lunatic is made public.

Why say anything? Did they cause these murders? Was the 20 year old an NRA employee? The biggest mistake Gov. Sarah Palin made after the Giffords shootings was to complain about the treatment she was receiving from the press and the nutroots. She fell into their trap. The NRA could learn from that.

I agree. They need to say as little as possible right now. They had better hold the line on this AWB business or they will lose half their members.

Amen. I despise the modern hand wringing that goes on over any tragic event. It merely feeds into the leftist’s delusion that groups are responsible for an individuals crimes.

Surrendering.

Nice strategy.

Out of respect for the families, and as a matter of common decency, we have given time for mourning, prayer and a full investigation of the facts before commenting.

I figured that was the reason for their silence. As a life member since '86 this is not surprising to me.

I am a member of the NRA and JPFO for ten years now. Everyone could have taken a lesson and I said so to my own friends out of the public eye. Allow the families to grieve and hold to your silence while the left gets more maniacal by the minute. They have already gone into overkill...and they will not win this argument.

Only the NRA haters and liberals claimed otherwise.

Life member that still has his orange cap.

>> She fell into their trap.

Nonsense. She stood up for herself as no other scumbag in DC had the decency to do so.

All the #ing Leftists, especially the infamous rodent, accused her of being responsible for the Tucson Massacre. Naturally, Mr WTF went along with it in silence.

I’m glad Palin gave those assholes a piece of her mind. Too bad you see it differently.

Surrendering. Nice strategy.

Better to keep one's mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt.

I would have stayed silent but 0bassturd had to politicize it while those babies were still lying in the school. Then again at the memorial. He holds the highest office in our land and acts like a third world tin horn thug. I feel I have no choice but to fight that tooth and nail.

Some men can't handle a woman who stands her ground against mindless attacks.

At the time, I felt like you do now, but looking back I see that they sprung a trap on her and it seemed to work. She wasn’t the 2012 candidate, was she? She easily could have been, had it not been for that. When going up against opponents who have thousands of campaign staffers and congressional aides, 900,000 paid and several million un-paid confederates in the newsrooms, academia, NGOs, blogs, radio stations and TV/movie studios, you have to pick your battles carefully.

I was supposed to get a belt buckle and a cap and got neither one. I tried reminding them a couple of times too but never got a reply. But I let it go. That’s not why I joined.

That’s not why I joined.

Nor was it why I joined. I had been a Life Member prior to Cincinnati.

I have no idea why you didn't get your items. I've gotten things from the NAHC, NRA and other conservation, hunting, shooting and 2nd Amendment supporting organizations.

Oh, we will fight. Be assured of it. But there is no arguing logically with illogical bipeds who do not argue from reason.
They do not analyze, they verbalize, and you can see the insanity in the direction their verbal onslaught has taken. A stunning number of them have called for outright murder. How much sense does that even make?

Ahh, it was a long time ago. Stuff happens. In those days I thought I had some money to burn and gave them several big contributions beyond my membership fees in spite of not getting my trinkets. They have more and better items now and I could always buy some if I wanted to.

FWIW I'm going to join RMGO and maybe GOA soon to get my name on their rolls too. I wish I could kick them all some serious money but I'll have to be discriminating about that.

Leftists are nuts. They make no sense at all. Personally I have nothing to discuss with them. My answer to this issue is the 2nd Amendment and Molon Lave! Deal with that, lib! I will fight by hounding politicians and joining groups to help with that.

It make sense to conclude the outcome was a cunning trap regardless — given the vicious nature of the plug-ugly you enumerated.

I’m not surprised Palin opted out. She was fighting the battles alone; no help whatsoever from any political machine. Her departure seemed inevitable. So, in hindsight, I’m glad she didn’t give consideration to political style. She hit back, and she hit back hard. And I’m damn proud of her for doing so.

I truly admire Sarah Palin. She stood her ground. She’s an American icon that few can hold a candle to.
