Long well thought out rebuttal from Jeffery Lord on S.E. Cupp's slam of Rush Limbaugh recently in the New York Magazine and the subsequent follow up in the New York Daily News where miss thang doubles down on her anti-conservative rhetoric against Limbaugh.

Born and raised in California and relocated to MA.....definitely not a conservative. A GOP-Elite maybe because the field of competitors for good looking commentators of that genre is limited, but not a conservative.

But clicking a newer link couldn’t connect to article. Might be on my end. Maybe.

Sure, a bit may be lack of perspective. After all, they do not teach conservatism in school, so young conservative converts are often picking it up as they go along, maybe from a few books, the internet, or ironically, Rush Limbaugh himself.

Don’t underestimate the “hip” factor that he mentions though. A lot of urban and suburban young “conservatives” just don’t want to deal with being ostracized from their peers if they buck the gay marriage trend. You can usually defuse any arguments about economics, foreign policy, and even other social issues with liberals, but fag brigade is inconsolable if you don’t toe the line.

Sadly these young conservatives were either in diapers or not yet born when Reagan was President and certainly are two generations removed from such conservative thinkers as W.F Buckley. There simply have not been any real conservative leaders in the GOP since Reagan. Sarah Palin came close, but was pilloried by both liberals as well as the RINO leadership of the GOP. The Republicans have now three times kowtowed to the "moderates" and nominated Dole, McCane and Romney all leading to disasters in the elections. The only bright spot was 2010 when the TEA party showed the establishment that the people will back conservatives.

If this country is to survive, the GOP must forget trying to please the moderate voters. Romney carried these voters, but was still overwhelmed by the "low information" voters. Going back to its conservative roots is the only way the Republican party will survive as a force in American politics.

Cupp has a couple of things going for her. However, she does need to work on her reasoning skills.

I listen to Real News on the BlazeTV every day, where Cupp is a regular commentator, and while I used to like her a lot, lately when I listen to her, it seems she really likes the sound of her own voice, more than anything. She’s kind of high on herself, IMO.

I can't wait until Ubama hits that "reset" button.

It's not going to work out the way he plans.

I saw ‘C’ Cup on a talk show a while back and thought she was barking moonbat liberal. It just oozed out of her every pore.

I'm rather shocked to hear that anyone would think she is conservative. She doesn't even reach RINO on that scale.

S.E.Cupps is merely a trophy conservative. I bet with her Rush Limbaugh critique, ‘progressive’ invitations have increased. There’s nothing the left loves more than a bitter conservative.

“The left didn’t want to debate these people — they wanted to demonize them and then destroy them.”

I think that is the key point these moderates, squishy congress critters, and young talking heads don’t get. The lefties are playing for keeps. There is no negotiation or compromise with them that doesn’t ultimately destroy freedom. Its time to change direction before we plunge off the cliff into economic chaos and a failed police state.

Its like like with islamic terrorism - how do you compromise with someone that wants you dead? Kill me next week instead of this one?

S.E. Cupp?

Really,

By this point, if you are not aware she is a media whore akin to Tila Tequila, then you deserve your oppression by the masses upon the liberties of your minority.

that unless the GOP gave up conservatism and became a me-too moderate party with socially liberal candidates

That means to give up principles and to become pragmatists. But a principle is not a luxury. It is the essence of man's way of dealing with the future consequences of his actions, of knowing what they are, and thereby not leaving his long-range goals to chance. Principled action is action based on man's means of coping with reality, which are conceptual means, and conceptual understanding of how to achieve his end.

Isn't S.E. Cupp a disciple of Glenn Beck? Doesn't she work for Beck also? She is easy on the eyes... lost my train of thought.

There were times when I thought she was conservative and there were times where I just shook my head in disbelief.
