It sounds like this assclown contributed mightily to America’s destruction.
Oh well rip.

From wikipedia:

Noam Chomsky has said that Anthony Lewis is at "the far left of the spectrum" that is available in the mainstream media, and thus is useful in discovering the tacit assumptions that underlie all mainstream discussion."

I guess Noam would know.

“transformed American legal journalism”

NY Slimes doublespeak for “worked overtime to propagandize for the destruction of limited, constitutional government and traditional values.”

This arrogant pr*ck wrote of Ronald Reagan: "What is the world to think when the greatest of powers is led by a man who applies to the most difficult human problem a simplistic theology?" -March 10, 1983

Lewis was an elitist's elitist and his 1963 Pulitzer did more to undermine my respect for the award than presentations to any of the fools who've received it since.

I hated the s.o.b. and let him know why. One of my proudest possessions is an outraged letter from His Haughtiness decrying the fact that little people like me could enjoy the same First Amendment rights as himself (that's not exactly what the letter says but that's what it means -- he didn't take kindly to criticism from the Groundlings.)

RIP Tony.

Just said a prayer for his soul; he's gonna need it.

Said one for mine, too - I'm not supposed to be glad about the death of another human being, but this news livened up my day.

His columns were a struggle to get through. In my younger days I thought the NYT was the be-all and end-all of jouralism and would read him. No I realize it was all gobbledy-gook.

Prayers for a deeply misguided soul.
