MIT issued an emergency alert at 10:48 on Thursday night reporting shots fired on the university campus. The school newspaper reports, "Shots fired near 32 Vassar St (Stata Center), police officer down. Please stay inside." That report is backed up by CBS News's Bonney Kapp who reports hearing "officer down" on the police scanner just before the MIT alert went out. For now, details are scarce, but the suspect is on the loose and considered armed and extremely dangerous.

I don’t know. Fox is now reporting one of the suspects is in federal custody and has facial features similar to one of the marathon bombers, but not saying which one. Mabye that’s the naked guy? Then, of course, we’ve still got at least the one suspect they’re going house by house in Watertown looking for. Then if there’s one dead at Beth Israel, maybe there are more than two?
Now saying there may be 2 suspects out there and that the Transit Authority policeman was shot over by the hospital where the captured suspect was taken. He was plugged multiple times while in a car.

The interesting thing the reporters keep saying is “THEY” are armed and dangerous. As of right now. “THEY”.

“At that time, explosive devices were reportedly thrown from car by the suspects. The suspects and police also exchanged gunfire in the area of Dexter and Laurel streets. During this pursuit, an MBTA Police officer was seriously injured and transported to the hospital.
During the pursuit, one suspect was critically injured and transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. An extensive manhunt is ongoing in the Watertown area for the second suspect, who is believed to be armed and dangerous.”

Who else who strew the streets with bombs?
They confirmed that no long arms were recovered. Two semis were, as well as the bombs.
At least 2 men were tossing devices out the car window all over Watertown.
Hope the Feds don’t come in and screw it all up! I think the Boston Police have done an excellent job tonight! They caught this guy...not the Feds!!
