Initially I laughed at your post, then suddenly stopped laughing and wanted to cry cause it’s all too true.

My experience w/Balmer is pretty much confined to Hopkins Hospital. But what does it say when the nation’s pre-eminent hospital requires its patients and visitors to have a guard escort them in broad daylight to a place half a block away, that’s visible from its main entrance?

The article I read said the women “fell pregnant.” I have never heard that expression before. It sounds like the women were passive victims in this. Crazy.

All prisons should be run with military precision and order just like the old Alcatraz movies or the new supermax concept. I don’t care which, but this idea that the prisoners should have a lot freedom to do things on their own like the oz concept on HBO or the case of this prison in Maryland is all wrong.
