More than 26,000 members of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) have come out in favor of creating a Watergate-style investigatory committee that would be tasked with determining the truth behind the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks in Benghazi, Libya.
And they are joined by the entire, crushing forces of FreeRepublic. Obama must be held accountable. This CANNOT be left up to Holder.

It’s going to take a couple of prominent democrats to call for an independent investigation.
It’s amazing to me that the executive gets to decide the matter.
The only other way I know of is for the House to investigate and not let up.
Then file articles of impeachment.
But it better be damned thorough though.
It has to be overwhelming such that the senate democrats can’t afford to make it out to be a politically trumped up case like they did with Clinton.
There are a few retiring and therefore unaccountable rats we could peel away. Baucus, Johnson.

Good point. Landreiu and Hagan are sycophants though. Begich and Pryor would be two to lean on.
So what is Bonehead waiting for... closer to election time so he can
use this scandal as a campaign tool, instead of actually finding the truth
and punishing and shaming the persons involved. The current committees
are getting no where in getting answers the the most important questions.
Time for a different approach.

This story was on the Drudge Report and it is being reported all over the web. According to a Washington Times report, retired 4 Star Admiral James Lyons is blowing the whistle on the true reason for the Benghazi attacks. According the Admiral Lyons, Benghazi was going to be used to stage a false kidnapping of Ambassador J. Christian Stevens using a friendly group of Libyan rebels. This event was to be staged to enhance Obama's approval before the elections. Those who were going to abduct Stevens were going to ask for for Omar Abdel Rahman an international prisoner, known as the Blind Sheik, in exchange for the ambassador. Obama was to stage a successful negotiation, get Ambassador Stevens released from the "kidnapers" and have the Blind Sheik released in exchange to the "hostage takers."
According to the Washington Times story, this effort fell apart when the CIA Navy Seals Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty refused a stand down order and went in to the embassy on their own to protect the ambassador using force. Their action killed many of the rebels. The rebels were not prepared for any kind of armed response to their phony kidnapping effort. They were enraged at this action and thought they were betrayed by Obama. They decided to stage a massive attack on the embassy in retaliation. The carnage that ensued was a result. To read the story at length, I give one link (there were many others) below. If this report is true, Obama is toast.

I’d guess not, GWGhost. I was doing contract work for an Israeli company during the Libyan civil war. The Libyan militias set up dozens of freelance prisons to hold mercenaries, Kaddhafi loyalists and boot Libyan cadets.
Keep digging, GWGhost, you might unearth something interesting.
