The Fifth District Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of George Zimmerman and his defense team.
Benjamin Crump must sit for a deposition.
This highly unusual pre-trial intervention reverses the prior ruling of Judge Nelson and appropriately states the need due to a lack of ability for the Appelate court to quantify the damage caused by allowing discovery to be impeded.
This is a HUGE VICTORY for George Zimmerman, and one that may indeed lead to a delay in trial.

This is what happens when you get real judges involved. The games that seemed so smart, so clever, suddenly don’t seem so smart.
I don’t know what Crump did. Info, anyone?
Was....the suit is over.
Another $20 to George.
There are some who believe that Dee Dee is an invention of Mr. Crump, or close to it.
If this is the case, Mr. Crump's career could be in jeopardy. In a state that has a non-joke legal system, anyway.
Also, most of what little momentum the "Convict George" locomotive had resulted from the mumblings and stumblings of Dee Dee, under the careful (and helpful) questioning of Mr. Crump.
The only one who can contradict Crump is Witness 8, and probably not on the subject of her interview.
The interview was recorded and two reporters were present. This deposition is limited to the substance of the interview.
Not sure there is any great smoking gun here but I will be happy to be wrong.
He’ll be about as forthcoming as the IRS but it’s still worthy of some popcorn.
I was being ironic.
Crump is there to cash in on Trayvon's posthumous net worth, which is a fairly volatile commodity.
Note that they limited the scope of Crump’s deposition to the circumstances of the interview with Witness 8 and what she said. O’Mara may not inquire why Crump sought her out for an interview, how he found her, or his thoughts about her.
We’ll see but ultimately it is most important that witness 8 be contradicted. So they are using Crump to fill in blanks of his interview with witness 8. It doesn’t seem he will say anything that contradicts her story. But we’ll see.
I don’t know all the details but have been following “somewhat”. My take is that Crump is a lawyer representing the Victim’s family. The State of florida colluded with him to withhold various evidence. Namely phone records from a girlfriend who was talking with Vic. They have milked this for as much money as they can get and now they want a trial without letting the Defendant question the evidence that has been withheld.
This is a crime committed by the State of Florida via Prosecutor’s Gov. scoot and AG Biondi are overseeing the case to prevent a fair trial claiming “there will be riots”. They should cancel the trial and withdraw all charges to mitigate the civil matter(by GZ). Thenfile Civil rights actions against the AG and everyone involved. The Judge is in the bag against Zimmerman. That is was this particular item is so important.
I saw that — but I’m sure that anything he put in his 15 page affidavit should be open game.
This is the same group(not exact persons) who lost the Casey Anthony matter by playing games. when the Prosecutor was laughing during court(Defense closing) and the jury saw it. They slammed the Pros. by letting CA walk. Judge went to video and saw the pros was laughing and had no other way to fix it. These hillbillies shouldn’t be allowed to practice law in the first place.
We'll see....All you need is one word of the Crump/wit8 interview to work off...not even a whole sentence
Thanks. What a confusing case. Why is Florida trying to railroad Zimmerman? Seems to me just reading your post.
what’s the donation site again?
Fear of the behavioral outcomes that might be exhibited by Obama core constituencies.

We respectfully disagree with the trial courts analysis. First, the fact that Crump represents Martins family does not make him opposing counsel.
Yep. Crump has already got his fee from the Civil Case against the
homeowners associantion.
