Web inventor Berners-Lee warns forces are 'trying to take control'
The Telegraph ^ | 6/8/2013 | James Hurley

The inventor of the World Wide Web said the internet is facing a “major” threat from “people who want to control it on the sly” through “worrying laws” such as SOPA, the US anti-piracy act, and through the actions of internet giants.

“If you can control [the internet], if you can start tweaking what people say, or intercepting communications, it's very, very powerful...it's the sort of power that if you give it to a corrupt government, you give them the ability to stay in power forever.”

Sir Tim was speaking as it emerged that the US government has been collecting huge amounts of personal information from Google, Facebook, Apple and other internet companies.

There have also been reports that British spies have been gathering intelligence from the internet giants "through a covertly run operation set up by America's top spy agency"

“Unwarranted government surveillance is an intrusion on basic human rights that threatens the very foundations of a democratic society,” Sir Tim said. “I call on all web users to demand better legal protection and due process safeguards for the privacy of their online communications, including their right to be informed when someone requests or stores their data.

Truly anonymous, reliable digital money is the key. Somethign beyond Bitcoin. If companies could pay employees with no trace, if consumers could purchase things with no trace, then governments would starve.

How much did you earn last year? "Not a darn penny: prove otherwise."
Well, we will use a sales tax and get revenue that way. "Fine, but I didn't buy a darn thing either: prove otherwise."

The technology has to be possible, and when it gets here it will change everything.

So,Sir Tim thought he was giving the knowledge of the universe to the rabble. Instead,he gave the government
total control of our lives, while men were surfing for porn
and women were shopping for handbags and shoes!

Our tech people have one chance to create back doors... one time. That time is now.

The ability track and control us is the reason government powers developed the internet as a civilian app to begin with.

“And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.” Rev. 13:17 The beast empire is being built right before your very eyes.

In some jurisdictions it’s already a crime to live with no visible means of support....

all governments are corrupt, because they are run by flawed humans with biases, which is why the power of government should always be limited to the minimum necessary to maintain order.

The technology has to be possible, and when it gets here it will change everything.

Someone will have knowledge of how the system works and government(s) will have the means of quickly accessing such information.

I remember back in the days of 14Kbit dial-up only on AOL, my computer was crashing and operating WebCrawler in a VERY primitive state. In the corner of the page where the "www" should have been was "666."

Very spooky.

Sure, researchers and scientists using government ARPA funding actually ‘invented’ the internet. But, the igniting expansion of the internet HTML protocol was the foundation upon which the prime force that drove its expansion was....wait for it....wait for it....PORN.
