But, and here’s the big but...
there was a eastern European rabbi that wrote a herem (prohibition) about 1000 years ago outlawing polygamy in the Jewish communities because of the rising tide of Christian-imposed monogamy.
Sephardic (Spanish) Jews didn’t abide by the herem until around the 1800s because the European and Spanish Jewish communities keep by their own rabbis’ rulings.
The only Jews who practice polygamy today are the Yemenite Jews in Yemen because Islam allows it (don’t know what the limit is; might be four). They can make aliyah to Israel with their wives (grandfathered in) even though the State of Israel outlaws polygamy.
When the Messiah runs the show polygamy will come back since it is Biblical.
And that is going to p.o. a lot of Christians.

Chick-Fil-A is one of the few bright spots of moving from Michigan to Maryland. They just got final approval to build one a half mile from my house.

Yes, you are quite correct. They understood how important it was to always have a father and mother in the equation to make sure the children grew up balanced.
But the question I have is...
What man is man enough, responsible enough, and mature enough to handle more than one woman?
