Yokota Air Base Friendship Festival has been officially cancelled this year. I expect that means those of all the other bases in Japan will likewise be cancelled.

But hey, Obama will have plenty of money for golf, so I guess it’s all good.

At least the troops in Afghanistan get a Gay Pride event, who cares about fireworks.

Of course it is their fault! If only they would give him unlimited discretionary spending authority why, I’m sure he’d throw a few scraps their way.

Do we need to borrow money from the chicoms in the first place to finance fireworks FGS?

Just cut the crap.

What’s kinda ironic about this is that they have the new rainbow color fireworks that are an Odumbo favorite.

Didn't prevent Obama from hosting a BBQ at the WH today for about 1200 people - with just enuf token members of the military invited to try to make it a credible photo op and to justify the expense spent ...

I didn’t get to see fireworks tonight either. Because I have to work. Will someone please have a pity party for me?

This is typical government bull**** from a bunch of commie government bureaucrats. If the military doesn’t have the money to celebrate the 4th of July in America, where did the Pentagon get the bucks to hold a Tribute to the Sexual Deviants in Afghanistan?

We were fortunate today to spend time at the local military rec camp, got a pass in from a friend that is with the band that was playing. How nice to be around military folk on this day, and we even had fireworks.

Well, that’s so much less business for Chinese fireworks factories... why does nobody bother with US fireworks any more, they could be easily built by robotic equipment I would think.

Camp Pendelton had the regular fireworks show at Del Mar Beach tonight.

Someone said it was privately funded.

Robins AFB in middle GA is having it’s city wide concert, but moved it to Sunday, because it’s raining hard all the time. Hope it lets up by Sunday!

It’s not the military doing it, but we’ve always had the military band there and a flyover (at least sometimes) and strong support, cheering, flags, etc... between the two. I wonder what it will be like now.
