He’ll end up as the leader of Egypt if every last Egyptian has to die to get him there.

I hope you are wrong on this point, FRiend!

El Baradei resigned a day or two ago. He took the MB side and quit.

The MB will get, and is being, crushed.

Uh - no need for a link, it’s in the excerpt above! Author of article and Paul are clueless about what’s going on in Egypt. Military is not massacreing anti-government “activists”. In fact the mil and police have exhibited such restraint and tolerance of the MB “protests” that the rest of the citizens couldn’t take it any more. The MB have been torturing and killing and committing arson like there’s no tomorrow. Did you read the article I posted above? Now finally the police and mil are starting to crack down on the lawlessness.

Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt’s military — even as Cairo’s security forces massacre anti-government activists.

“This is something that those who voted in Congress are going to have to live with,” Paul told The Cable on Thursday. “The question is: How does their conscience feel now as they see photographs of tanks rolling over Egyptian civilians?”

A reading of the link I posted makes it clear that Paul opposes foreign aid to any country. That means all of them.

Reading the statement you refer to in that light would lead a reasonable person to view Paul’s remarks as an attempt to shame congress into halting aid to Egypt regardless of their government.

The article I linked to makes it very plain that Paul objects to aid of any kind to any country and that the elimination of foreign aid would dramatically reduce our deficit.

One more thing about Paul’s remark: If a punk gets shot and killed while committing a robbery, it is OK for you and me to say “Good, glad he is gone.”

It is quite another thing for either of us to pay someone to hit him.

Let the Egyptian government do what they want to do with the Muslim Brotherhood, just stay out of it unless and until the Muslim Brotherhood attacks us.

Many photos on the Live Egypt thread show MB protesters carrying AQ flags.

Alrighty then, but where were his screams to shut $ to ALL countries until now?

And you ignore the fact that he accepts the MSM and US gov propaganda lies that parrot the MB lies? He is dead stupidly ignorant about the facts in Egypt.

So he is unqualified to say one freaking word about foreign policy.

Any politician who SIDES WITH THE MOZLEM BROTHERHOOD is stupid or evil or both.

I tire of anyone who has only one line.

So I will not continue this.

The link I sent nullifies every word you have written and you ignore it.

So spout your one line all you want. I am gone.

I read it. Here's one comment after the article:

EyeOnFreedom Aid to Israel serves a national defense function. It does not line the pockets of any 'dictators' or 'despots'. Israel shares American values of economic and political liberty. You might want to distinguish among nations and not lump all aid into the same pot.

Which I agree with. I am not a 100% isolationist as libertarians say they are. But Paul singles out only these countries (at least in this article):

Sen. Paul's bill, S. 3576, calls for a prohibition of U.S. aid funds to the governments of Egypt, Libya and Pakistan contingent upon the release to U.S. authorities the aggressors who attacked our embassy and consulate in Egypt and Libya, respectively, and the release of Dr. Shakil Afridi, currently held by the Pakistani government.

I think the US ought to help countries who are favorable to our interests (or would be if we had a decent government right now) and not give a penny to those who are not favorable. And any monies given to assist allies should be accounted for, and not a penny should line the pockets of any persons. Be nice to friends and not to enemies. Makes sense to me. Of course, at present our own government is becoming like a degraded third world tyranny hellhole, so all the comments I just made are very theoretical for now.

The fact remains that Paul specifcically singles out Egypt's military as cruelly running over peaceful protestors. The protestors are Mozlem Brotherhood jihadis and they have been slaughtering, torturing and commiting arson for a long time, ramping it up in the last weeks. If he thinks the military is brutalizing harmless peaceful protestors, he's either incredibly ignorant or for reasons known only to himself, favors Mozlem Brotherhood over the vast majority of Egyptian citizens who want the MB out.

I kind of like Rand when he’s not channeling his whackjob father. but he’s wrong on this one. For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m proud of the Egyptian military. They’re wiping out the Muzzie Brotherhood and I hear that’s a good thing.

The best solution to this situation is this: Keep up the aid until the Muzzie Brotherhood goes the way of the National Socialist German Workers Party. Then, before the next psychotic Islamonazi becomes the next dictator of Egypt, pull the plug on the aid.

In effect, you would kill two birds with one stone. The Muzzie Brotherhood would be weakened greatly, losing the most populous Arabic state. In addition to that, the Egyptian military would be weakened by a long, nasty civil war and would no longer be a threat to Israel. (You know, our allies.)

Of course, none of the of the above would ever happen. Our dog eating Dear Leader is down with Muzzie Brotherhood and he’s willing to kill for them. (See Chairman Obama’s unilateral decision to attack Libya for further details.)

See, everyone can win, but given Commander Zer0’s reverse Midas Touch, I’m fairly certain everyone involved will lose big.

I’ve been reading the Live Egypt thread daily - takes a lot of time and it’s extra busy lately - but it looks as though the Egyptian mil is going to clean out the viper MB. Really does....

Rand Paul is saying defund Egypt now because it's US law to not send funds if there's a coup.

I do not think I'm the only person who's voted 'pub my whole life (except maybe some mischief-voting in dem primaries) who's ready to follow Rand Paul's lead. It's time for the whole world to go isolationist and clean up the global mess before it destroys civilization.

Libertarianism makes no sense. If the US completely withdrew all influence from the world, the vacuum and ensuing influences would be ... interesting.

Of course, the influence of the US now is abhorrent, since we are ruled by a combination of Moslems, faggots, communists, and black racists. If somehow or other they’re thrown out, then... well, they have to get thrown out. There is no second alternative.

And the Libertarian foreign policy ideas are childish, unworkable and just plain stupid, including the open borders/anyone can walk in crap. Rand Paul is turning out to be a clone of his father.

And he voted for Hagel.

All of the arguments that you can make will not stop me from siding with Rand Paul in abhoring the killing of hundreds of protesters in Egypt. Civilization is going to collapse if there isn't a global "time out" from the manipulations and power-grabbing by the elite.

What Egypt is doing is creating an endless supply of terrorists who would like Muslim world domination. Add to that the world response is just so hypcritical. The UN sends in support "so the freedom fighters can return home" in Libya and uses that as an excuse to fight their war. Look what that got us....dead embassy workers. We're still droning Pakis and supporting bad guys in Afghanistan.

These aren't the top terrorists in Egypt who are being slaughtered. It's the masses who believe in their cause. It's the ones we told to believe in elections and consequences of them.

I'm feelin' kind of sick and heavy-hearted. Didn't this all start out as a power grab by a western oil company drilling in western Egypt that wanted less restrictions on exploiting that oil and easy access to the port of Benghazi? Then there's Libya....have Italian banks returned that billions of Libyan dollars to its rightful owners?

And we're still aiding the fight to get Assad out of Syria? We've ridded the ME of thuggish leaders who protected the Christian minorities and provided a decent standard of living for their populations and westerners who lived in these countries.

No, you'll never convince me that shooting on masses of civilians can have anything good come of it. I'll take my chances with libertarians before I'll go along with the genocide of one population to supposedly protect another.

Where are you getting this info? The MSM? No point in reading any more of your comment if you believe lies and propaganda. You should read the Live Egypt thread if you want the truth about whats' going on in Egypt. You have literally no clue about Egypt whatsoever. Shooting masses of civilians? Pure unadulterated bulls*** MSM propaganda. And you're right here on FR, you could be reading the truth and learning. You're hopelessly in the dark. Your choice.

Here are the “innocent civilians” and btw they are not being slaughtered by the mil, although they should be. Clue: the torture being done in the Rabaa camp was BY the MB aka “innocent civilians” according to you. They routinely torture and kill their own, sometimes using mil and police uniforms and filming it, for propaganda. SO far they’ve killed 500 police. Innocent civilians my A**!

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3039526/posts?page=3880#3880

Horrific accounts of torture being reported now to the authorities of what they saw done to people in the RAbba camps.....and those reporting their fears if they told of this.....

The smells the protesters were trying to spray away and incense away were rotting corpses...20 of which alone were found under the speakers platform...more in the mosques...and buried in lawns in the neighborhood.....

It’s in arabic but translation enough to get the idea....
