Cruz is a very good writer and debater - however he strikes me as being like a lot of the really smart Federalist Society style Libertarians: so in thrall to the beauty of his theory that he never stops to wonder why - in a world that has actually tried most of the more apparently plausible Utopian schemes (theocracy, communism, left and right authoritarianism, monarchy, etc.) - no one has been able to organize a serious attempt to create a “Libertarian” government or economy.

When you are that committed to *any* ideology it becomes all to easy to pursue impractical policies to implement your ideals; for someone like Cruz there will *always* be a cause so important that it’s worth “doing whatever it takes” to advance it, for example, blowing up the US credit rating to achieve your goal. This year Obamacare, next year something else - and anyone who does not sign on to every crusade is a traitor to the cause.

The problem with this approach is that draconian means require perfect judgment in their selection and application - every such attempt caries with it the possibility of disastrous failure - and human judgment and execution are just not up to the task.

The only questions is how far and fast you fall, and who and what you take with you.

“You are an idiot!

He is either a naturalized citizen or a natural born citizen. That is the only available options!

Pick one and defend that position!

Since he NEVER was required to become naturalized due to his mothers citizenship, he is natural born. No different than if his mother was on a European vacation and he was born in Prague. Or his Mother was a diplomat in Iraq. He is a citizen by virtue of his birth. QED: NATURAL BORN!”

No I am not an idiot at all. Ted Cruz is not a natural born Citizen because he was born not in the jurisdiction of the United States. Yes he is a Citizen by statute because of his foreign sovereignty birth but it takes more to be a Article 2 Section 1 natural born Citizen. The framers didn’t want a future president that was born with an alliance to a foreign sovereignty like Ted was. Now if Ted was born in a U.S. territory outside the United States to two U.S. citizen parents then he would be eligible, like McCain was. People born with the ability to have to chose allegiances at a certain point are not true U.S. Article 2 Section 1 natural born Citizens. Natural born Citizens are born with ‘sole allegiance’ to the US.

It is pretty difficult to define a newborn as having sole allegiance.

I meet all your criteria, but identify as Irish American, and have family in other foreign lands.

My Allegiance is my Oath, and that Oath is to America.
Cruz himself released his Canadian BC in order to renounce his Canadian citizenship formally.

I would consider that a pledge of allegiance.

Obama, on the other hand obfuscated on the BC and flubbed his swearing in.
The second swearing in was in private.
You are correct to be suspicious of Obama, but wrong to be suspicious of Cruz.
Cruz is an American.

These commie/lib propagandists have very thin skins and do not stand up well to criticism. Bombarding these liars with letters and emails will break them. Keep it clean and non-threatening. Calling them Nazis drives them up the wall.

and we still don’t know how Obama traveled to Pohkistan on an American passport during a time that The state Dept had made travel there verboten.

I suspect Obama held a British passport.
We may never know, because he is hiding that stuff from us.

You are quite right. The beltway seems seriously nervous, and particularly Rubin being in a full twist is very comforting for our long embattled side. This means progress. Apparently the base is actually a palpable threat to the elite after all. Contrary to the arrogant RINO tactics to blow us off.

Win, lose, or draw, we are no longer shackled to the GOP.

You can’t be born with Dual Citizenship with split allegiances to two foreign sovereignties and then become a Article 2 Section 1 natural born Citizen later by renouncing the foreign citizenship. The founders just didn’t intend it that way.

There is much to like with Cruz. He espouses many traditional "Republican" principles and can clearly articulate them.

He hasn't been a Senator for even a year and already there is talk of a run for the Presidency. In this regard many Repubs behaving the same as Dems do for Obama.

The similarities with Obama don't end there however. Cruz, like Obama, is ineligible.

The question of "natural born citizen" is never reached, Cruz is a naturalized citizen.

I hope Repubs get over this infatuation and focus on finding a great and eligible candidate. The sooner the better, the subversive Dems advance must be halted and reversed - but not at the cost of becoming them.

That is your opinion.
So if Ben Franklin had conceived child In France, and raised him here, with the Mother, The child would not be eligible?

How about this one birfer, say you have an American Mom who was a whore with no clue who her baby daddy is, she did a lot of guys including a bunch of Mexican illegals. Is her baby, born in Pittsburgh, eligible in your view?

Or what if the biological father appearing on the BC was an American but he was adopted and raised by his Canadian stepfather?

Yeah sorry, your silly interpretation is a crock of BS.

Hypotheticals and “birfer” - try looking up the law, you’ll have more credibility.

What has us exited is that he, does not back down to intimidation, He is highly educated and articulate, yet close to the very “American” dream of being a self made freeborn man.

Not only an IDIOT. Now a proved one by your senseless blather.

Stop, before they come take you back to the institution! Mental divergence is best kept to oneself.

Your self appointed Constitutional Scholar status is hereby revoked by the sane members of society.
