Congress' Top Republicans Praise Obama on Syria

WASHINGTON — Leading congressional Republicans praised President Barack Obama's decision to seek lawmakers' approval before punishing Syria for a chemical attack. But it was far from clear whether they would support such a strike in a region rife with warfare and the specter of retaliation.

"I do believe (Syria) should not have impunity," for the Aug. 21 attack near Damascus, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said by telephone. "But we need to understand what the whole scope of consequences is. What the president may perceive as limited...won't stop there."

Of course they praise him.

They are in awe of one who has a weaker spine and greasier handshake than they. He’s the maestro!

The same RINOs also love ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE
and Obama’s open borders.

So again, the fact remains:
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DNC AND GOP.

Praise him?

Where has Waldo Boehner and McConnell been for the last 10 days?
Only now, they come out in favor of a vote?

They could have held a joint press conference days ago demanding a
vote. They didn’t. They could have demanded a slow down. They didn’t.
They could have demanded more intel be released to the public. They didn’t.
Only now, after Obama says he is going to throw it to congress do they now
approve? BS. They have been AWOL.

The idea here by Obama is to get the ignorant ruling class republicans to sign on to this debacle.

Then when the crap hits the fan, Obama can blame them for it.

So be it. Price of being stupid warmongers.

Anyone with a brain could figure that if only 9% of the people are for this action, it would most likely be wise to steer clear of it.

There was no praise

The headline misleads.

It is an AP article.

Next up: RINO’s fall on the grenade for our beloved leader and overwhelmingly vote for something that only 9% of the public supports... then when it fails miserably, Obama shifts the blame by repeatedly emphasizing that the Republican-controlled House supported it.

Then Obama uses the war vote to demagogue the House into raising the debt ceiling because they voted “for a war that they don’t want to pay for”...

After all, he is the 5th Best President:

I was just reading a Democratic publicity release that said, “... after a little more than 5 years, Obama has been rated the 5th best president ever.”

The details according to White House Publicists…

* Reagan, Lincoln, and 8 others tied for first,
* 15 presidents tied for second,
* 17 other presidents tied for third,
* Jimmy Carter came in 4th, and
* Obama came in fifth

Now that’s government math!
