how many of those that contracted measles had the vaccination already?
looks like both vaccinated and unvaccinated contracted the disease. who got better faster I wonder? hmmm
there are always some risks to vaccinations, sometimes perhaps more than are acknowledged
but then again, there are risks to NOT getting vaccinations, too.

it may be wiser to ask the good pastor about that (the next life), rather than relying too much on his medical advice for this life?
Looks like some lessons need to be re-learned. The hard way so it seems. Globull warming, ozone hole, NSA spying lies - not surprising that few believe anything the govt says.
This is one of those times that doubt (and lack of immunization) will cause suffering.
I agree with your post. There are risks either way, but one should rely upon medical sources of information for medical decisions.
Vacination is not a cure all. Not much is said about the drawbacks, but they do exist. I think that a good frame of health is most important, with fresh foods, as illness like mumps and measles are usually of short duration if the patient is strong and well.

mumps and measles can be dangerous for little kids at times.
also, the measles virus can stay in you for years and then resurface again and you got shingles in your old age.
shingles can be very difficult for some people.
so.....I tend to take the vaccinations. I realize there are some risks with both the active and sometimes the inactive agents. So, I do not push other people to get all the vaccinations, but if they ask my opinion I tell them I get the shots myself...
at least we have these options available to us!!!

In the 60’s and early 70’s, before the vaccine, there were half a million cases a year, and 500 measles deaths a year in the US - about 1 out of every 1000 cases. Judge risk against that.
What I think is interesting - neither I nor any of my friends had measles vaccinations back in the early 1940’s, nor did my children or their friends. Rather a common practice to go ahead and expose your kids to them when they were small and then we just didn’t worry about it. Same thing with chicken pox and mumps. Only vaccination my kids had was for DPT.
Shingles is varicella-zoster - the chicken pox virus, not measles.
How many of the infected suffered serious, long-term effects from contracting measles? There seems to be a bit of an overreaction to this, as if everyone who contracted the measles suffered a horrible death.
How can one possibly love God and his neighbor if one is willing to let people die of diseases that God has given us the intellect to cure? That is like walking past an injured traveler rather than lending them aid like a good Samaritan. God gave us our brains for a reason.

Being cured by something created be man is a sin. Same with eating certain foods and wearing certain types of cloth.
Remember March of Dimes drives. German measles was a top five cause of birth defects.
Immunization has greatly reduced congenital birth defects.
So if you are against having children forcibly medicated by the government, you are against modern medicine.
