The Tea Party is not wrong, and it is working.
What befuddles the “powers that be” is that the Tea Party is *not* a typical hierarchical organization.
And this is extremely important and why the Tea Party is working, why it has not be co-opted by the establishment, and even the government itself cannot inject itself into the Tea Party as a whole.
Because hierarchical organizations have *no way* of interacting with decentralized organizations. Karl Rove cannot “take over the leadership” of the Tea Party.
There is no “official spokesman” for the Tea Party. Everyone who speaks out for the Tea Party does so for themselves. No “talking points” to blather at the MSM, except what that one person believes.
Nobody who can be threatened or bribed. No “president” or executive council that can be subverted.
All told, it is driving the establishment bonkers.
They have long ago figured out how to weaken, destroy, subvert, and ruin other hierarchical organizations; but they are impotent against a decentralized one, as long as it stays that way.
And at the same time, the Tea Party can attack and tear down the establishment. A paradox the establishment hates.
Yes, good one, thanks for being my kindred spirit on this one, now we are a force of 2.
I got audited, I also provoked it. A few years back I had to start doing Form 8889 for having an HSA account. It was only used for medical expenses, thus there is no tax. The 3rd year I sent it back with nothing more than the name/SSN at the top, and $0. at the bottom, they audited me for that. So I finally had to bother with learning to fill it in correctly......
I figured it was like math, I derived the answer in my head correctly and left the proof for the reader at the IRS. They got nothing for their work, maybe I’ll omit it next time.
See post 51 & 62. The system no longer can be corrected in the normal way. But what better agency for tea party type people to snarl up than the IRS in response. People need to put out a bit of effort, but very little for ideas like this. Such simple civil disobedience should be more common.
I liked your idea about the messy handwriting. The more I get reamed the more agitated I get and the more it shows in my chicken-scratches! ;’)
The TEA Party, as it were, does not need to be the bully on the street corner and HD TV daily, it only need show up on election day, which thoroughly frustrates idiots that contribute hit pieces to Yahoo and try to pass it off as news and analysis.
Most TEA Parties have more important things to do than wring their hands and pimp policy and pout on talk shows. They have real lives, families, futures, well, maybe,, so let the media be clueless and spew their crap.
Election Day will come, just not soon enough for some.. But we’ll get by ‘til then. WE always have..
Thanks, yes, my goal is to force human intervention and not allow the automated scanning step to proceed easily. A stray mark, numbers in an odd place, or bad writing should suffice.
I could have fun with USPS also. Just send things out a few cents postage due. Then the carrier needs to take time to collect that postage due, and it is a manual process.
Little things, done by many, can easily upset the system.
Me, too. The most popular, most often replied-to comments are from conservatives.
You said; “....but enough to tie up their resources.”
Its called increasing your enemies’ friction.

The Tea Party never disbanded and people never fell away. What happened is twofold: the media *told* Americans it was fringe, dangerous, small and ineffective and secondly, Obama’s goon squads in his kingdom were unleashed to audit, delay and threaten many of its chapters. Most of us had no idea why the Tea Party became quiet and unseen. The IRS scandals this summer unearthed the truth for us. Now, we are renewed, invigorated, growing in number and are unstoppable.
We are the ‘Rat’s worst nightmare.
Dingy Harry can ,,,!!xxx##~
I was mocking a current leader of the left,
that hero of stage and small screen,
you know Him,you love him,
Al Sharpton!
