another issue here in california i havent seen discussed yet.

when you really look at the covered California plans, they are highly restrictive as to doctors and other service providers. you will almost certainly have to give up your doctor, and in our area, you wont be able to go the best hospitals in the area. that is going to be the real shock IMHO. if you are in covered California you will feel a lot like a second class sucky insurance network. starting to feel like medical , which is medicaid out here.

“the “rich” get to pay for everybody just like the “rich” pay every cent of every paycheck every government “worker” and “retiree” collect.”

True, but the cost of owebamacare insuring about 30 million leeches ‘free’ is so massive that ‘the rich’ had to be scaled down to include lower middle class.

The useful idiots that voted for O’bastard and are quick to cheer any law that will screw the rich are finding out what it's like to be on the recieving end of that screwing.

This is why the Republicans should not pass any laws to fix this crap law. They have already passed laws to remove some of the unintended consequences . Just recently the Republicans in the Senate helped pass a bill to remove the medical device tax and some republicans in the house want to take it up. Leave it alone! This law will fail on its on unless the republicans agree to fixes and then it just becomes another unfunded liability!

I just happened to have seen it 10 minutes sooner — but that sure describes Obamacare, and socialism in general — everyone is generous and wants everyone to have everything, as long as he/she is not the one paying for it.

Reminds me of an old joke.

Communist party boss explains communism to peasant:

C: If your neighbor has two cows, you’ll get one.
P: Sounds great!

C: If your neighbor has two chickens, you’ll get one.
P: Terrific, I like it.

C: If your neighbor has two shirts, you’ll get one.
P: No, I don’t like this afterall.

C: Why not?
P: Because I have two shirts.

Moral of the story is obvious — as long as you are getting something from someone else, people like it, but when they discover they are the ones who pay for someone else, they don’t like it. And this is the basis of socialism and obamacare, and not only you have to give up things, but the government decides how much they take away from you and who gets it.

Obamacare is instituted specifically to start the conversion of the US from a free country to a socialist county and make everyone dependent on the government.

In California, if you are a ‘decline to state’ voter, you get to vote in the primaries for whichever party you decide. And you don’t have to decide till you walk up to the polls.

At least that is how it was when I lived there about 6 years ago. Where I live now, you have to be a declared member of a party to vote in the primary, but you can declare within 15 days of the election.

"Of course, I want people to have health care," Vinson said. "I just didn't realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally."

Yeah, where is the skittle pooping unicorn when you need it?

"I'm not against Obamacare," Waschura said. "It's just the initial shock. I'm holding out hope that there will be a correction over a handful of years."

Don't worry. They'll "correct" this thing by raising your premiums even higher.

"I'm holding out hope that there will be a correction over a handful of years."

he correction will be that some insurance companies will drop off the exchanges. Does any one really believe that this years rates are not just introductory and there will be even more bad surprises come Oct 2014?

You have probably heard these before, but this explanation from Atlas Shrugged is the best I have ever heard.

The Twentieth Century Motor Company - Part 2
The Twentieth Century Motor Company - Part 3

The "money-quote":

It sure is. They desire to spend other people's money to make themselves feel good about "caring for the poor." It is simple covetousness for the purpose of self-aggrandizement, and nothing more.

Sadly, the damage of electing Obama won’t only be felt by those that voted for this lying sack-of-shit, but those of us that didn’t will also have to pay for the actions of the idiots.

If you’re a hard working family man with a couple of kids making around 100 grand a year....State, local and federal taxing agencies want pretty much all your money.
