That's right. Ted Cruz to be on Leno tonight. Looking forward to FReepers comments as they are always informative and many are very humorous at the same time. Buckle up FReepers. I'm sure that Ted and Jay will keep us both informed and entertained.
Stay tuned or set your DVRs (NBC). This should be great. Go Cruz!
Hopefully, this is posted early enough to give FReepers time to plan on watching or recording. I will do both :)

Senator Cruz did well, but it COULD HAVE BEEN so much better.

There will be many other occasions. Although he's used to being attacked, I'm sure that Ted was surprised by Jay's hostility. I was, and it seems that many of us were.

He won't let that happen again.

***********

On another note, I met up with a couple of old, childhood, conservative friends recently, and they brought up potential presidential candidates. I blurted out, "it's Ted's nomination to lose," and they burst out laughing. "Cruz, are you serious?"

I was shocked. "Who would you rather have?" "What about Christie?" I couldn't believe it.

We had a lengthy discussion, but it turns out that they had already bought into the "he can't win" media meme.

All they knew of his filibuster was that he read from "Green Eggs and Ham."

I despise the media.

I will have to listen again. Hope he runs. Everytime I hear a rat on TV say they want him to run, I know its the complete opposite and one of their greatest fears.

Rush and Levin support Cruz on the air because they are all on the same side, fighting for the country.

Cru went on Leno, because he has to face the enemy.

He was in enemy territory. I don’t, wouldn’t, presume to give him a grade.

He was a champion debater at Princeton and, later, as solicitor general of Texas, he argued nine cases to the US Supreme Court. Here are Jay’s educational credentials:

“...his high school guidance counselor recommended that he drop out of school, he later obtained a Bachelor’s degree in speech therapy from Emerson College”

Jay treated Ted Cruz like he was just another lobbyist target looking to score points against Obama, and Jay treated, his audience like they were not there, wanting more elaboration from Cruz on those answers, ignoring their applause.

I wouldn’t treat Anyone with those credentials with a lack of respect as Jay did. Jay’s guest musician had the presence of mind to pay Cruz his due respect.

And it’s Jay, not Cruz, who is so used to adoring fans, he wouldn’t know what to do in the face of an adversary except quit and go home to the savings from his $tens of millions per year.

To give him a grade one would have to first define his goal and then determine whether he achieved it.

And Sen Cruz stood before the Senate, arguing solidly to defund Obamacare. I can’t imagine why one would go out of their way to misrepresent him as having shrugged off Obamacare as the law of the land after that.

Thanks for the ping ,Red.
Um...if you folks do change your mind on Mr Cruz, just put him on the next plane over.
JL was emitting hate all through that interview.
Ted inspires confidence in the fact that he appears to mean what he says and doesn’t ooze between the slats in the chair, unlike last years candidate.

What he said about Obamcare was in response to Jay who said John Roberts upheld it as law of the land.

Sen Cruz didn’t even nod at that. he said Obamacare is not working.

SO your comment is strange.

Jay seemed almost smitten with Sarah (who can blame him?), but with Ted he was downright contentious.

Lefturdjay asked Sen. Cruz about Obamacare and then interrupted THREE SEPARATE TIMES when Cruz started to answer the question.

This is a typical leftist tactic when conservatives are interviewed by fifth-column media buttboys and whores.

The Tonight Show appearance was deliberately set up as a hit on Cruz, trying to get him to say something to use against him while not letting him lay out the conservative plan. Anything on the networks should be suspected as supporting treason by leftists.

My thoughts exactly!
Perhaps it was because he had Governor Palin on his show AFTER she lost, so he did not consider her to be as much of a threat.
The leftists truly FEAR Ted Cruz, because they know instinctively
that he **is** a major threat to their corrupt agenda.
All the more reason for us to SUPPORT him, aggressively.

So it would seem.
Fortunately, he had our undercover "special forces" there to prevent a rout. ;)

Funny side note on "father questions"...

When Sarah was on Jay's show, he asked her if her dad still gave her advice, like political advice. Sarah replied, "Not political, but he advises me about which ammo to use!"

The audience loved it...and Jay even got a kick out of her answer, too.

Thanks Moose! Yep, Ted says what he believes and really knows his topics inside and out. In short, he has thought all of his stands through on issues and the importance and priority of each.
I think we’d like to keep him a while :)
