They want you to think it’s just a bunch of technical problems, and that the reader is too stupid to understand them.
This language is chosen deliberately to influence peoples’ views on the subject, and to make sure they think the correct thing: that 0’s people are doing a good job but there are these difficult nerdy problems that they had and are now solving.

gee i thought i had all these other people who were going to be coerced into paying most of my premiums for me, i guess it turned around on me and bit me in my fat ass. i wasn’t bothered they’d be paying a lot more for their premiums, but now i think it’s really unfair that I too will be paying a lot for my premiums.
everyone else can afford to pay a lot more to cover me, cause everyone else is rich. i’m the only one who’s getting screwed here and now this fact makes me demand that they fix it, because now i am getting screwed.
