So I sit down to watch the Macy's Day parade with my 9 yr old daughter, a 40+ year tradition for me, and NBC and Macy's decide the 3rd act will be the musical act from Kinky Boots, promoting homosexuality and cross dressing. It took about 2 seconds for my daughter to see that something was not quite right when she noticed the cross dressing Cabernet singer. "Dad, that's a man, and he's kinda creepy."
Thank you Macy's and NBC for making me discuss cross dressing deviates on Thanksgiving Day. I dont think, however, that my conversation with my daughter went the way you would have wanted.
P.S. - Since Macy's sees fit to abandon the traditional family so publicly, I will not be shopping at Macy's this year ... or ever!
Yeah, best to avoid any kinds of parades in this country.
NBC would have cut to a commercial if there was a Tea Party float.
Are you certain she wasn't referring to Matt Lauer?
Macy’s is pretty low on my shopping list anyway. Hope they have a nice red Friday.
The vast, vast majority of Macy’s employees are as repulsed as you are by this display ....
Don’t forget to talk to her about healthcare.
(PS-Man knows there is a God but deliberately flaunts his sinfulness in God’s face. The last thing God does is weep for this country. We will bring judgment on ourselves and then we’ll wonder how could God be so cruel.)
I’m nostalgic for the old parade. Now it’s mostly commercials interspersed by talking heads doing what are essentially infomercials. I leave it on with the sound off or way down as I fix dinner.
There is an add running for MSNBC that shows to men at their wedding. It is just flash but it is there.
When I turned it on there were a large group of kids dressed as Mad Hatters singing about having a Tea Party. I am sure this slipped by the censors somehow. Also, have not seen one commercial without an abundance of homosexual males.
Very true. The barely show the floats.
Nearest Macys Store, has cross dressers in abundance. Let them know how I felt, basically said comes from the top and nothing I can do.
Isn't that redundant?
Please let the Macy’s and Macy’s execs know what transpired in your home and how you feel about it.
This was done on purpose and in your face.
Hundreds will say nothing.
They knew kids would be watching.
Why must the homosexuals ruin everything.
Isn’t tolerance enough? /s
There is something I can do, and I did. I meant nothing local management could do.
I do that because today's music makes my head hurt.
My wife insists that the parade be on while she cooks. I insist that I have Free Republic on my computer screen, and Wilco playing through my headphones.
Glad I’m not the only one who was creeped out. I was going to watch the parade, even though it was on NBC, but that did it for me! Couldn’t believe this is on Broadway and has apparently won many awards.
