Baby not covered under ObamaCare family plan

Long Islander Cornelius Kelly found it would be no problem to secure a family plan for his wife and three older kids through New York’s health-care exchange, but his 18-month-old daughter was out in the cold. The baby would need her own insurance policy.

“I couldn’t believe what I was being told,” said the dad from East Quogue, in Suffolk.

Kelly said he was no fan of the Affordable Care Act, but when he received notice a few weeks ago that his current insurance plan was being canceled, he tried the New York State of Health Web site.

Somebody last week had his dog Baxter signed up.....maybe they can re-label the baby as the family pet ...and try again.

That Obamacare family plan is substandard.

Republicans and insurance companies blamed.

Terrible reporting. Why wouldn’t they investigate the reason?

Because they are reporters, not investigators, duh!

“When Kelly called a representative, he was told his daughter had to be 2 before she could be covered under a family plan. He would have to buy a separate plan for her....”

Yep, “just another glitch.”

...why is the baby is not covered?

Not a minority? Dad complained to the press and IRS is now hounding him? Didn't vote right in the last election? Hasn't greased his congresscritters palms sufficiently? Didn't provide enough cocaine or meth to his assigned "navigator"? Said a bad word about The One on FR?

The possible reasons are endless.

Maybe there is a 3 child limit per policy. 4th child on another plan, start a new page. Only 5 blanks on forms you know !!

JUST OPT OUT.

Roll the dice.

If we sty away in droves, the monster will die. Don’t feed the beast.

You: “Yes, I’d like the Obamacare Family Plan, please”.

OC Rep: “Would you like that with our without children?

Moslem babies are covered,
as are the families of Congress, pOTUS, and SCOTUS.
and their Staff, and their babies.

The rest had better be ready for the misery,
and pain, and death that is coming.

I’m sure the wife can take care of any needs this child has and there’s also professional courtesy from other physicians. This still makes no sense.

The only purpose of Obamacare is to siphon money from anybody with savings until we are all wards of the state.

Exactly. .....The new higher premiums include higher co-pays and higher deductions, and most people will never exceed the higher deductions (barring serious illness or an accident).

Open a separate bank account (or get a large Mayonnaise jar to keep in a hidey-hole in the back yard) and put a portion of your income into it each month for medical expenses. Why separate? So the money is set aside for a specific purpose and it reduces the temptation to spend the money on something else.

Cheaper than the OCare and you can pay cash for routine services throughout the year. ....The new deductibles are ridiculously high on purpose; most people will never exceed them, so the insurance doesn’t have to pay anything but a small portion of co-pay.
