Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) will “cave in” on immigration reform, expressing confidence that a proposal will pass the House sometime next year.

Reid on Tuesday said Republicans would sign on to a deal if they ever want to see a GOP president again.

“If the Republicans ever want to elect a Republican president again, they’re going to have to get right with the Hispanic and Asian community who, by more than 70 percent, voted for Obama last time,” Reid told the Las Vegas Sun.

Yet, every poll of LEGAL Hispanics reveals they stand against amnesty by a margin of 2-to-1.

Thus, if the Republican party is serious about making gains in the Hispanic community, they would do well to respect the wishes of LEGAL Hispanics (and their conservative base).

That was what I was getting at. Reid taunting Bohner by claiming this just stirs opposition. I posted yesterday that Bohners move might be just to get Hispanics and CofC off his back for a while.

The only way Reid can accept and pass an House amnesty bill is if it looks like the Senate bill with small modifications to it.

So even if the House was to pass acouple of smaller bills little chance Reid could get the 60 to get it passed in Senate, and Dems demand citizenship as key. I dont see Bohner getting that from house GOP.

Boehner is so into passing amnesty that he has just hired a leading amnesty advocate to help him get amnesty passed.

When the Chamber of Commerce cheap labor greedmongers say “jump”, Boehner and the Republicans say “how high”.

Boehner is taking a huge defeat for Democrats in 2014 and changing it into a probable loss of the House and an unfettered Obama power push until Hillary takes over.
