A&E was hit by a 12-gauge “Duck Dynasty” backlash Thursday as religious and conservative groups denounced the network for suspending the reality show’s gay-bashing star — whose family suggested it could be the end.
Supporters of show patriarch Phil Robertson — who in a magazine interview compared homosexuality to bestiality — called for a boycott of the cable network.

I haven’t seen any “homosexual bashing” in any episode I watched. When referring to homosexuals, I never use the term, “gay”.
A&E lost me. This bunch of gay jackasses can go to hell, and that is where they will rest.
Just because both are listed in the same paragraph as sins doesn’t mean he “compared” them. He just listed sins. Big deal.
The left is just putting them together because it looks more outrageous.

That is one of the lies out there. He did not compare being gay to beastiality..He included beastiality in a list of things considered to be sins.
If you want a definitive answer to the question of whether or not the statements were hateful get a comparison to evaluate them against.
Interview a dozen hard-core fanatic muslims about their views on gays and find out what hateful really is.

Chances are they will offer you enough freebies or discounts that you'll submit and continuing your subscription - yeah you're that weak... lol
I'm mean six months of free HBO is nothing to sneeze at - right?
If you do manage to resist the temptations thrown at you upon cancelling in attempt to get you to stay and discover later that you just can't do without the programming package, chances are you can always sign back up at a discount or with freebies.
At least take heart that you've helped in the fight even if you do surrender. :)
A&E will make a fortune to whoever ‘buys’ the show from them. -a show at it’s peak, mind you!

Look, I know how hard it will be not to watch but a boycott of A&E needs to begin immediately. This is about them trying to censor free speech. Anytime 2% of unelected media/entertainment people try to take away our rights is the time for consequences to occur. They tried. Now we are responding to who they have shown themselves to be.
I agree. This nation was founded by men and women who not only wanted to get away from the King and the Church of England and other repressive Gov.’s-they also wanted religious freedom. From the Massachusetts Bay Colony to Jamestown and then to the original colonies-this nation was founded on freedom of religion, personal liberty, and rights. This Nation was not about PC,MC. LGBT etc. In my 66 years,I have seen a country I loved enough to die for in combat,and almost did in the 91st evac hospital with two GSW’s, go to hell in a hand basket. I and many of my friends want our nation back from this commie, on the down low, mental midget of a Pres who thinks he is Der Fuhrer. I cannot believe we have allowed this man and his collection of America hating commies and morally bankrupt appointees of his to ruin every branch of our Gov, invade our privacy daily, and corrupt our children in brainwashing schools. This Pres has no respect for the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, and the Constitution.
It's a disservice to the stockholders to get rid of the highest rated and top grossing show. So I kind of think that it was not their plan, but an act of total stupidity by the top execs (all female, btw), who thought they could have their cake and eat it, too.

This is a case where somebody stepped in a pile of stupid letting their PC sympathies get in the way of making business decisions. A simple statement that Phil Robertson's views are his own and do not represent the network was all they needed to do.
Now their cash cow is out of the barn and wandering down the road. I'm enjoying every bit of this blowback.

...”Let’s all remember that A&E is 50% owned by Disney. So if you want to make that network hurt for its decision, the same as it wanted Phil to hurt for his, then do the following:
1) Call or email A&E and tell them that you are not going to watch DD or any other show on their network again - and actually do that;
2) Also tell A&E that you are going to ask your cable company to take A&E off of your service, and contact several key A&E advertisers - and actually do that;
3) Do the same with Disney as 1 & 2 above, plus tell them that there are plenty of places to vacation besides Disneyland/world, plenty of places to shop besides the Disney store and plenty of stations to watch besides A&E and the Disney Channel - and actually don’t patronize or watch them.
This is a simple one, folks - this is a liberal fascist attack on freedom of thought and expression, and attempt to use money (or lack thereof) to shut up someone with whom they disagree. Well, 2 can play at that game, and our side of that equation has a lot more clout than A&E and Disney combined, provided that we actually let them know what we are going to do and why.
I don’t even watch DD - but this action by A&E really ticks me off. What really is ironic about this is that the network seems surprised that a guy from the backwoods of Louisiana who hunts, sports a long beard and prays at his dinner table would have views like this. DUH! Also, it is pretty clear that Phil was speaking for...drumroll...PHIL, not A&E. This is an utter outrage.
