That was an off the cuff quote in a 2008 interview that was staged by John McAmnesty McCain's people. She has never repeated that quote and further, she has not proposed a specific legalization plan, like Rand Paul has done.

Rand Paul is actively promoting AMNESTY for illegal aliens. Right now. Today. As we speak.

Are you willing to at least admit that granting permanent residency to illegal aliens and not prosecuting them for social security fraud and tax evasion is AMNESTY?

Can you admit that?

That is three posts and you haven’t said anything that makes sense, why not just relax and say something that we can understand or that is relevant?

Four posts and nothing revealed but hostility.

I’ll try again.

Conservatives do it all, social conservatism, economic conservatism, and foreign policy, they don’t need to listen to the libertarians who work against the right, seeking new ways, new terms, new definitions, new categories, even them using GOD, to keep bringing in more liberalism into the GOP.

Libertarianism offers the transitory vocabulary and dialogue to move from conservatism, to liberalism.

Of course I am hostile to lies and distortions. Why shouldn’t I be?

Exactly, the only reason I voted for Romney was because he said he would eliminate federal benefits for illegals. It really pisses me off that Freepers keep accusing Paul of being for amnesty when he is NOT. The USA is not going to deport 30 million people, eliminate federal benefits, deport criminals, and work visas for the rest is the best we can hope for.

Jim Robinson is one of those Freepers. And Rand Paul is in favor of Amnesty. Amnesty is giving permanent residency to illegal aliens and forgiving them of all the identity and tax evasion felonies they committed.

Do you have a different word for that?

Would you call it a banana?

Do you not understand that giving permanent residency to 12 million future "taxpayers" who are now illegal aliens would necessarily have to include a provision that they will not be prosecuted for using other people's social security numbers, using fake residency cards or working for cash and not reporting said income to the IRS?

Every single working illegal alien has committed one of those crimes.

Therefore the only way that Rand Paul can favor some kind of legalization path for these people is to grant them amnesty for their crimes.

Otherwise, he would have to be in favor of deporting every single one of them.

I think he has made it perfectly clear that he wants them to stay.

Therefore, he is in favor of AMNESTY!

Got it?

You cannot possibly be that dense. It is part an parcel of any path to legalization.

Can you name one single working illegal alien that has not committed a felony?

If working for cash makes you a criminal then there are a lot of criminals in the usa. SECURE THE BORDERS, CUT OFF BENEFITS then after a few years have a look at the illegals still here.

That is your argument against conservatism and why we should move left, that George W wasn’t as conservative as we wanted, your answer is to seek out people even more liberal?

Get real, you need a stronger argument than that to destroy conservatism and traditional America.

How does switching to a pro-gay, open borders, pro-abortion position help us win elections?

I am on your side! I want illegals gone too! Teenagers can not find work because illegals are taking all the entry jobs! I hate it! Paul is not the enemy! He wants to solve the problem as much as I do!

If working for cash makes you a criminal then there are a lot of criminals in the usa.

If you don't report it and the IRS finds out, you will go to jail. It is a FELONY.

Do you work for cash under the table? Do you not report it to the IRS?

Do you carry around fake identity cards? Do you use someone else's social security card? Have you purchased a fake driver's license or a fake residency card?

Do you drive a car without a license, valid registration, or insurance?

Did you sneak into a foreign country and ignore all the laws of that country?

Do you favor giving a pathway to legalization for all the people who have committed all of the above crimes?

Wouldn't you call giving such a pathway to legalization to such criminals "Amnesty"?

Then Paul is not your guy.

His Amnesty plan is the exact same amnesty plan that McAmnesty proposed and which the American People revolted against.

Read some of the links that SoConPubbie listed. Rand Paul is an open borders libtard-tarian. Just like his dad.

If you want to solve the problem, don't support someone whose goal is to repeat the mistake that Reagan made. At least Reagan was honest enough to call it what it was... AMNESTY.

Giving the federal government money for a fake SS account might be a crime, I seriously doubt it is a felony to give the feds money. But maybe it is, I do not know but I'd bet dollars to donuts the feds will not prosecute you for giving them money.

In fact one reason no one in fed gov really wants to try to solve our illegal immigration problem is because of all the $$$ the feds rake in from illegals. Now the states and county govs pay out far more then they take in via benefits so the states and counties are far more active on this issue. Texas is about to elect Dan Patrick as Lt Gov solely on this issue. WE ARE ON THE SAME SIDE and I will be voting for Dan Patrick in the run off in Texas.
