I do not consider him a hero by the way. He apologized to his tormentors for his views. That was his first and last mistake.

No wonder Eich was run out of town on a rail. The understated message to conservatives here is concessions to liberals do not buy you their goodwill. They only buy you their contempt.

While I think the Inquisition is an apt metaphor for the left’s PC sacking of Eich, he really committed as Orwell defined a “thoughtcrime” the criminal act of holding unspoken beliefs or doubts that oppose or question the ruling party. Eich years ago made a donation to a cause and though he did not proselytize against gays he committed a PC crime by harboring anti gay thoughts.

I think there is a potential too, for those who are unsure of the “same sex” union question (yes, no marriage can be same sex), might see it should not be a social experiment, see other states and come to that conclusion.
