Sebelius: Pressure after rollout was 'awful'

By Elise Viebeck

Outgoing Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said she was "flat-out wrong" to believe that HealthCare.gov was ready to go on Oct. 1, 2013.

Sebelius made the comment to NBC's Andrea Mitchell on "Meet the Press" in her first post-resignation interview. The secretary has only a handful of weeks left at HHS until her replacement is confirmed.

In candid remarks about the healthcare rollout, Sebelius said she regretted not asking different questions when HealthCare.gov was under construction.

"If I had a magic wand and could go back to mid-September and ask different questions based on what I know now," I would, she said. "I thought I was getting the best information from the best experts but clearly that didn't go well."

The former Kansas governor reportedly handed in her resignation to President Obama in early March, when the enrollment numbers on the exchanges began to rise.

Asked whether she was pushed out of the administration, Sebelius insisted the departure is her choice.

"I thought that at the end of open enrollment was a logical time to leave," though there is "never a good time," Sebelius said.

As the official in charge of the healthcare rollout, Sebelius was blamed for the massive technical problems with the federal enrollment website, and soon became the target of partisan attacks over the law itself.

She said Sunday that "clearly, the estimate that it was ready to go Oct. 1 was flat-out wrong."

"That was very alarming" when HealthCare.gov crashed for the first time, she said, "because that took some real diagnostics in terms of what the problems where and then analysis" about whether the system could be fixed.

Sebelius did not mince words when describing the pressure of last fall.

"It was awful. It was awful. But all you could do is say, 'We're going to fix it' [and] 'Hold me accountable.'"

Obama has nominated White House budget director Sylvia Burwell to replace Sebelius at HHS.

She is dumb.

She is liberal.

(Takes #1 to be #2.)

And, since the Obamadork/felon appointed her, she is also undoubtedly corrupt.

She also was "flat-out wrong" that the "Trojan Horse" for socialist policies, called by various names, including "Affordable" Care Act, would turn out to be either "affordable" or have anything to do with improving the lives of citizens and their health care!!

Her "failure" simply imposed a plan for coercive government abuse of every citizen in America by nameless and faceless bureaucrats whose very salaries will be paid by the victims, and by politicians whose only goal was to institutionalize their power and control over future generations of Americans.

Those future generations, confronted by the former 200+-year history of a free society, and the sad and inglorious history of what so-called "progressive" regressives did to that society by their arrogant actions, will understand what happened to their liberty.

..and the Sebelious replacement is already known for "StoneWalling"
while in office at OBM .
Sebelious' replacment is there only for further obfiscation and gender identity in the proported "War Against Women".
Stonewalling is something that this administration has no knowledge of , or in the words of that immortal sage :
"At this point , ..what does it matter " ??

There is certainly a lot of evidence pointing that way. I for one, don’t give the Zero that much credit. His owners however is another matter.

I worked on an IT project near DC. They had already failed twice. On our effort, they scrutinized the project documentation, but not the software configuration. Example: some previously approved documentation was UNapproved because the county wanted “Table of Contents” not the previously approved label of “Contents”. So, multiple IT professionals had to stop working on the software to reedit approved documentation. Example: the county project manager never logged into the system ONCE until it went live. So, he never saw what he was going to get until it was too late to change.

The website failure was ENGINEERED so as to justify the miserable subscription rates. “Well, we would’ve had greater numbers had the website worked”.. This scam is STILL being foisted upon the American people when convenient for the regime.

Prison? Hey, lay off. She admitted she was wrong. I’m sure she learned from this experience, and that makes her a perfect Democratic candidate for, well, something. /sarc

She said: “I thought I was getting the best information from the best experts but clearly that didn’t go well.”

Here’s the statement that should be made RIGHT NOW. A qualified leader should KNOW what questions to ask and be able to learn if the answers are the best. She *thought*. Right there - that’s the proof that her appointment was political.

Sebelius can now officially take the fall for Obamacare. From here on out, all the horror stories can be ignored because they are “old news”, and Sebelius has resigned. Forward!

Just from the Rose Garden ceremony I gathered the following. Sebelius is a true believer in liberalism. She thinks that the purpose of the liberal project is to help people. She does not seem to know that liberalism is just a path to power for the insiders or that the ultimate goal is totalitarianism.

This replacement lady is cast iron. She immediately began to brag about her vast "achievements" for the past twelve months as OMB boss. She knows what the real purpose of the liberal project is and now that Sebelius is going to take all the heat now and well into the future, they can use this new toy, the ACA, for it's real purpose, gaining and holding more and more power.

They think they have a magic wand....and saying the right words will make everything work out and their rainbow unicorn world fantasy will magically come to life.

The fools in charge haven't a frigging clue how the world works - they hire clueless incompetent fools just like them to attempt to carry out their stupid vision. Everyone's furiously waving wands and they're all gobsmacked that it doesn't work.

Thankfully she’s not as loose in her thinking process that precludes her from putting on clothes before she appears in public.

Clearly the M.O. of this administration. Totally screw up and then lie about it as long as it takes for the media to decide it's old news and lets move on. See Benghazi, F&F, IRS, ad infinitum.

She could have resigned 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 months ago..but this was carefully timed. Sebelius takes one for the Team, Obama gets a mulligan as he re-launches new-and-improved Obamacare just in time for the mid-term elections.

If only Sebelius were black, he’d have the perfect scapegoat.

How many of the following ten signs of incompetence did Mistress Sebelius show on a daily basis?

I would like to share the best rules that place ignorance at the most unsuspected limits. I’m positive you’ll recognize someone close to you who appears to be a true professional but who, in reality, isn’t anything more than an unqualified beginner. These are, in my opinion the most important rules:

Excellent summary and why it is a waste of time to try and discuss anything with a liberal.

“Considering her track record of failures, she like other liberals are too stupid to learn from their mistakes. Obummer made a dreadful choice in her and he won’t learn from that mistake either.”

This whole administration, from their absolute insistence on emplacing rabid incompetent ideologues into high government office right on down to their active campaign to infest all of government with the diversity of “wise whatever ethnicity” is a testament to failure most certain.

They cannot succeed in their devolution of this country because they have no idea of what formulates its success, period. They only know carping, dissatisfaction and strife, and they fail to realize that tactic is only good for gaining power. It is not a formula for keeping it.

I wish you weren't right. But even the media can't make this stink go away.
