On one hand this is thoroughly depressing. The idea that the Cathedrale de la Sainte-Trinite de Paris will be fitted with minarets just sucks.

On the other hand it foreshadows a likelihood where Rachael Maddow, Melissa Harris-Perry and Chris Hayes are forced to wear burkas and wash the stinky feet of hairy imams every Friday before evening prayers.

This is SO SICK! I have great difficulty coming to terms with this. You are absolutely right- France WAS one of the most Catholic of any nation through at least the early twentieth century. As well as one of the most advanced nations. The early French settlers in the US were among the most literate and educated.
