A gunman in a black BMW opened fire on crowds of people Friday night in a Southern California seaside town near UC Santa Barbara, killing six people and injuring seven others in what investigators described as a "mass murder" rampage.
The gunman was later involved in at least one shootout with sheriff's deputies and died of a gunshot wound to the head, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said at a Saturday morning news conference. He could not confirm whether the gunshot was self-inflicted.
Seven victims were hospitalized and at least one of them had undergone surgery for life-threatening injuries, Brown said. Details regarding the other victims' conditions were not immediately available.

Lonely in Santa Barbara
Being lonely in a beautiful place like Santa Barbara is truly a horrible experience. As I’ve said many times, a beautiful environment can be the darkest hell if you have to experience it all alone, especially while having to watch other men walking around with their girlfriends. I wish girls were attracted to me. I don’t know why they aren’t.

Story
Tagline Magnificent, supreme gentleman
Introduction My name is Elliot Rodger. I was born in the UK, but moved to the United States at the age of 5. I grew up in Calabasas and Woodland Hills, California. Currently, I am attending college in Santa Barbara, and while there I am staying the the town of Isla Vista. I have tried very hard to fit in with the social scene there, but I have ultimately been unable to do so. There are too many obnoxious people who have ruined my whole experience at that place.
I consider myself a sophisticated, polite gentleman, unlike most boys my age. My father is of British descent, and my mother is of Asian descent, so that makes me a Eurasian. I enjoy hiking, exercising, watching sunsets, traveling, cars, fashion, going to nice restaurants, and going to parties. I have traveled all over the world, ever since I was a child. So far, I have visited ten countries, including Great Britain, the United States, France, Spain, Greece, Germany, Mexico, Singapore, Malaysia, and Morocco.

He sure was messed up, nothing but pictures of himself on Facebook, and a lot of them.
Calabasas?
How come he wasn’t hanging with the Kardashians?
It is horribly sad.
His stepmother posted on her FB page last year, a youtube video for Gun Control.

Berber and Arabic. Also French.
Oh, I’m sorry; you asked about religion.
Once we get the minimum wage up to a living wage, more people will apply for jobs at Starbucks, so long lines will decrease because of all the new employees.
“It appears that he was a student at UC Santa Barbara.”
No. He went to city college (looked down on by UC students). You need excellent grades for UC.
Another affluent family that didn’t have the decency to lock up their crazy son in order to protect others.
Elliot Rodger, the 22-year-old son of The Hunger Games second unit director Peter Rodger, killed six people and injured seven more in a shooting rampage last night near the UC Santa Barbara campus, it was confirmed to Deadline.
He was a student at Santa Barbara Community College. In all, 7 were dead, including the shooter. Police report that Rodger drove his black BMW through the streets of Isla Vista business district, a quarter mile from the campus, and shot people. Before the shooting, he uploaded a video on YouTube talking about his plans.
Peter Rodger also is a documentary filmmaker the cast of his 2009 film Oh My God included Hugh Jackman, director Baz Luhrmann, Bob Geldof, Seal, Ringo Starr, David Copperfield and others talking about God.
The shooter had posted on a forum that his parents had found out about his youtube videos and he took them down, but then he uploaded them again.
There were warning signs. I wonder if the life of fame his family was living in overshadowed what was going on with their son?
LOL, I won’t mention when I first got laid, but I didn’t go out and kill women because of it ;)
“nothing but pictures of himself on Facebook”
His main picture of himself - in his BMW with 3 trash cans in the background is super odd.
Also, his enhanced lips, obvious nose job and sculpted eyebrows enhance the ick factor.
You only get one guess and one guess only.
Let’s review the DHS checklist of potential mass murderers and see how they could have failed to identify him:
Tea Party - Nope
Gun Blogger - Nope
Veteran - Nope
Fundamentalist Christian - Nope
White Supremacist - Nope
Homophobe - Nope
Home Schooled - Nope
Red Neck - Nope
Looks like he’ll turn out to be just another leftie nut case who blended right into the rest of the leftie lunatic world around us.
The Sheriff’s office has not officially named the suspect. The attorney for Peter Rodger told The Associated Press that the Rodger family believed that the suspected gunman was the director’s son.
Elliot Rodger is the son of Peter Rodger, a special unit director on The Hunger Games and director of Oh My God, a documentary the screened during the Cannes Film Festival in 2009. The director’s manager has not yet responded to a request for comment from THR.
Elliot is the grandson of George Rodger, famous photo-journalist and co-founder of Magnum Photos. George took the famous National Geographic Nuba series photos in 1949.
In his last video he said something about
Mountains of skulls and rivers of blood...
We googled that saying and it’s from a video game
which is really creepy and he even talks like the
dude on there. Since he was so lonely I’m sure
he spent a lot of time with that game.
Whack job goes on rampage because he hasn’t been laid I wonder how long it will take the media to want to profile men who haven’t sex..ya know its coming
“Elliot Rodger is the son of Peter Rodger, a special unit director on The Hunger Games”
I have yet to hear the media say who the shooter was. I wonder if they are going to blame guns or movies this time? Surely his parents knew he was nuts!
