For what it is worth, this is another basis upon which the idea of a GOP Senate might be campaigned to the public.
It might be too late to capture this particular horse that has fled the barn, but it could start to discourage other horses from fleeing it too. Metaphorically speaking.

Look at Susan Rice. They sent her out to lie to the whole world about Benghazi. When she found out, did she resign, no, she took the promotion.
Then she lied this week in describing the nature of the deserter/traitor’s service.
So I wouldn’t expect any of the joint chiefs to resign given that they’re mostly in position because they carry the hero of benghazi’s water.
Impeach the Hero and if the senate doesn’t vote to remove, let them share the responsibility.
