Chris McDaniel: I was “betrayed” by the GOP establishment
MOFO Politics ^ | 25 Jun 14 | MFP

Chris McDaniel, onthe blatantly unethical and illegal tactics employed by Thad Cochran and Haley Barbour in the Mississippi GOP runoff Tuesday…

“McDaniel: I am a two-term state senator, I have fought for this party my entire life, I’ve given money…I’ve done everything they’ve asked me to do– and last night, they pulled over 35,000 Democrats into a Republican primary to defeat me…we feel betrayed.

Hannity: Do you foresee any circumstance under which you would support this guy? Because I don’t think I could do it.

McDaniel: I prayed about it last night…my core principle is gonna have a hard time even looking at politics again.

Hannity: You sound like you got punched in the gut. You sound like you’ve been betrayed.

McDaniel: Sean, I was…I have fought for these people. These are my colleagues. They are my friends…I don’t understand!

But Ted Cruz has bigger fish to fry… “

“I certainly congratulate my colleague, Thad,” Cruz said on Fox and Friends Wednesday morning, pointing out that the Republican establishment poured millions into the Mississippi race and only won by a thin margin. Cruz reminded the hosts that he did not endorse a candidate in the Mississippi primary, as he promised to stay out of incumbent Senate races.

As does Rand… “

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a potential 2016 presidential contender, declined to support tea party critics of Mississippi Sen. Thad Cochran’s efforts to mobilize non-GOP voters to win the Republican nomination.

“I’m for more people voting, not less people voting,” Paul told reporters Wednesday.

I am glad you have acknowledged such an airtight grudge. Maybe now in a private time God will reflect upon your conscience and convict you of the fallacy you do not wish to publicly admit.

Funny you say you are not reading my posts then presume to be able to judge anything about them.

It looks to me that you need to deal in your personal life with the things you accuse me of.

How about hazzing teh grace of God? With a big dog’s nose and a waggety tail?

To get stuck on some sin as though it were the unforgivable sin LOOKS virtuous but maybe that isn’t even what God wants you to address right now. Maybe that’s just YOU.

OMGosh! The future occupant of Room 12 is stalking you, again?

Methinks he lost his meds in the ring last night, when he got roughed up, so, it may prove more hilarious today! What’s up with this OC basement dweller?

I think that he thinks he’s “evangelizing”.

You are going to have a moment of truth when all your nonsense will be shown to you as the shameful thing it is. I do not know how or when, but I know it will come to pass.

“I’m for more people voting, not less people voting,” Paul told reporters Wednesday.

That's a Libertarian speaking, not a Republican and certainly not a Conservative. As I'm constantly discovering, there is a distinct difference between the three and the overlaps are negligible.

The rub is that you can’t be special pleading with this principle. You want more votes one place, you want them every place. And it goes without saying they need to be fair votes.

“Every single day Rand Paul says something that confirms that he is either insane, a complete idiot, or a turncoat.”

There is that old saying about the apple not being far from the tree.

To me he seems like he’s going to be just as nutty as his daddy.

If you don’t have the will to take our own party back then I doubt your will to create your a 3rd party. When that get’s tough the same people bowing out of the Republican party are going to bow out of that party. The simple fact that Democrats seem to get and that a lot of whiney “the sky is falling” republicans don’t get, is that the fight is never over. We can’t ever win the war we can only ever win battles.

Yes he unquestionably is a member of the Republican party, it is a fact. The GOP has scum as well as good people like McDaniels. Such is life.

Sure it sucks, but when you castigate the “GOP” you are also castigating McDaniels and all of the good members of the party. It's a party of politicians and some politicians are scum. Any party, even a brand new shiny party, is going to end up with people that only want power and are willing to say anything to get it. What are you going to do then? Create a 4th party?

No, the corrupt old party goes the way of the Whigs along with all its corrupt leadership which is only showing its true face more and more as time passes-they’re certainly not becoming more conservative, they only show their teeth to conservatives-and create a new party in which, at least for a time, they can’t corrupt. All things earthly eventually become corrupted, just hopefully later rather than sooner. The GOP is now corrupt through and through, if you’re a conservative.

He wasn’t betrayed. He was stabbed, screwed and tattooed by design.

Betrayed implies that these people at some time were on his side.

They’ve not been on our side in my adult lifetime and I’ve been voting for 42 years.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to say you wanted a GOP guy to win and then turn around and say it's time to abandon the GOP. There has been a war being waged for the soul of the party since its inception and the reason we are losing so badly right now is because so many people have gotten sick of fighting. Reagan won the last time people got up and fought...and that was pretty much the last time we did. Bush senior? Dole? Bush junior? All GOPe at best, more like RINOs. Here we are what 40 years later and now after this race people want to throw in the towel? A 3rd party will be the death of the Republican party and it will take more work to form it then it will be to save the Republican party. When that gets rough are you going to quit that too? Because then it will be too late, we will be living in a totalitarian state and because people can't buckle down and fight now it will end up far far worse.

Perhaps it’s my approachable nature that attracts the crazies. I positively glow with it. Thats the most probable reason. I’m like a beacon of light, shining in the darkness.

Probably though because of my inherently humble demeanor and willingness to compromise. I really need a few classes on assertiveness when dealing with that type. I don’t really want to since being docile is part of who I am. My ‘personal truth’ as it were.

But kidding aside, if I know one thing to be true its that religious fanaticism manifests in strange and unexplainable ways sometimes.
