Truth be told, you can remove the apostrophe from shifts and do it in 99 characters.

Or get the government out of marriage altogether. Yes! That makes the most sense to me. There has to be some sort of license, but it should not be called a marriage license any more.

Or write-in a real American’s name. That’s how I vote more often than not. Frankly, no matter how I vote,I have no expectations of satisfactory results even if my candidate wins.

This is true there is nothing to stop a former Sodomite man from getting married to a willing woman, whether she is former sodomite or not.

Homosexuals have always had the right to get married, that is not and never has been the issue. It redefining marrage into meaninglessness that is their goal.

We as Conservatives and Christian simply have to stand firm on that definition. No matter how many lies they tell, or get others to tell on their behalf there is no such thing as a marriage between anything other than man and woman.

We have no moral or rational reason to recognize such a union as anything but what it is, a union of Sin not marriage. For this as Christian we should always urge rependence.

“What I’m saying is that if a candidate who agrees with me on the major issues, the border, gun rights, state’s rights, jobs taxes and he is pro gay marriage”

If a candidate who supports sodomite play-pretend marriage also claims to be on the right side of the other major issues—the border, gun rights, states’ rights, jobs, taxes—he is lying and will stab you in the back if elected.

“There has to be some sort of license”

Why? Why should you have to pay the government a tax to get married.

To Hell with that.

Because that’s what provides the legal status. For tax filing, joint finances, access to records, etc. I suppose a marriage could take place in a church and the marriage exists to the family and to god. It wouldn’t to the state without some record.

“It wouldn’t to the state without some record.”

A couple could email a copy of their marriage certificate, I guess.

Normal marriage went down the moral tubes long before the gay marriage rage hit.

The traditional answer to that is, of course, tradition.

However when Caesar becomes clearly incompetent to oversee marriages, as has been manifest in this case... well, we should not expect competence from the incompetent.

I don’t disagree, but from the ashes we can rebuild real marriage. The abomination of Sodomy will inevitably wipe out whatever was left of true marriage in the minds of all who accept it.

After all if that is the definition then marriage is not anymore by nature the institution for children(family) it has always served mankind as.

Thus marriage is rendered in the mind completely dead and the space for that commitment will then be left open for a rebirth of the original institution of marriage to fill the space vacated by the completely redefined one.

We Conservatives and Christians Must create and encourage that institution with the most firm and strict definition of holy unity for life. By which we mean not only the duration but most of all natural children’s rights to their natural parents.

Real marriage exists by virtue of God. There is no way (or need) to “rebuild” what has been eternally decreed.

What may be meant here is a restoration of many hearts in return to the Lord. We should all hope for this.

"smaller government" has NEVER been a conservative principle, conservatives believe in LIMITED GOVERNMENT and there is a huge difference.

I see some distinction but it's fairly obvious that the size of government, in terms of scope, resources and people is directly proportional to the power of government. At this stage in our metastatic decline and fall, you aren't trying to limit government unless you also trying to reduce its size at every level and dimension.

Abortion is MURDER,, I agree, but myself, I know gays who are small government conservative. I’m saying that at this time, on my list of issues it isn’t in my top ten. If we split because of gay ‘marriage’, the nation will be lost. We need to find a solution for the issue of gay ‘marriage’. A lot of gays (my office is in a historic cigar factory in the gay area of Tapa) businesspeople hate the liberal regulations of small business, but they vote Libertarian, because they hate what Rd are doing.

I hate the term marriage for gays, but if two adults want to have a civil union ceremony, it doesn't affect my marriage to my wife.

I have gay friends and relatives, so I see how this issue is affecting my friends. (and most of them are businesspeople. Two are owners of gay businesses, but most are owner of regular businesses.)

If I didn't have gay relatives, maybe gay marriage would not be this much to me.

Read my last reply. I know people hate my views on this. It is a view my parents gave me, not to judge anyone.

"I do...but God is fine with gays according to my pastor."

With that view, shouldn't he be your ex-pastor?
