>> A good challenger is never a bad thing. <<

Wolf, in my opinion, was a poor challenger. Zero evidence to back up his "fearless conservative fighter" rhetoric, plenty of questionable things in his background like the X-Ray scandal, and a silly campaign theme that revolved around him being distantly related to the marxist-in-chief, so somehow electing him would "embarrass Obama", even though Obama has never met the guy.

A GOOD challenger would have been known in conservative circles long BEFORE he sought a Senate seat (whether it was in elected office, appointed office, or just plain ol' grassroots conservative activism like Phyllis Schlafly), could demonstrate how he differed from the incumbent (not just give Obama style rosy rhetoric about how he'll "change Washington" and "shake up the system" when he gets there), and would have a clean honorable background that gels with his "conservative family values" message (unlike Wolf who pretended to be a sports enthusiast and devout church goin' Christian when there was zero evidence he ever did so prior to becoming a Senate candidate)

You don’t think radiologist is an accomplishment? How is being a Milquetoast DC Crony better than being a radiologist?

They are a bunch of cowards

Yea, but what does that say about hapless, uninformed Republican primary voters? I think I answered my own question. They remain hapless and uninformed. Name ID is all that they have.

Kansas is rinoish a bit

Now why would you think that? Oh, I know, Bob Dole, Nancy Landon Kassebaum Baker, Frank Carlson, James Pearson, Robert Bennett, a list longer than I can remember. I guess Pat Roberts is better than this particular group cited.

Apparently former FL Senator Stone was somewhat of an independent thinker and not always a part-line follower.

I could vote for Roberts in KS but would sit out the general elections in SC, TX, and MS too.

The 4th district tightened up at the end. But, Didier still prevailed. Now we have an interesting ballot for November with two republicans.

I expect a Thad Cochran style democrat effort for Newhouse.

Also, would Roberts have done the same for Wolf?”

YES! Roberts has always been a class act. Roberts has help get lots of Conservatives elected. Roberts has gotten mad at RINO and Conservative Republicans in the past for not pulling together.

YOU ARE A LIBERAL AT WORST AND A RINO AT BEST!

ORMAN IS AS FAR LEFT AS YOU CAN GET!

In short, if you vote for Orman, or promote him here, I think you should be kicked off this forum completely. Pat Roberts is rated by EVERY conservative organization out there as one of the top 10 most conservative members of the Senate.

You are ridiculous!

Kansas just re-elected a BUNCH of conservative Republicans.

The “Tea Party” pretty much ran idiot candidates here.

Tim Huelscamp in the 1st Congressional District had a LIBERAL primary opponent. The Ag people did not like Tim because Tim is NOT pro ethanol.
Tim won.

Here in the 4th, both Pompeo and Tiahrt know me well. I consider them both to be friends. Their views are nearly identical. Tiahrt, however, came out in favor of earmarks. I do not disagree that Tiahrt did a good job “bringing home the bacon” when he was our Congressman. But Tiahrt was hardly a “Tea Party” candidate however. Pompeo won.

Brownback cut tax rates drastically, signed prolife legislation and signed the strongest 2nd Amendment Legislation and voter ID legislation the country. His opponent Winn is a way to “Libertarian” on pot and drugs and does not understand tax or economic policy at all.

NOPE, the Tea Party is the problem. They cause division in the GOP primarily so that the Tea Party “leaders” can rob you and other naïve people blind, with fundraisers.

You have your facts wrong. Amash votes with the constitution and the manner in which that bill was presented would NOT have stopped abortions. All people had to do was lie about the reason the abortion would be committed. It was hate-crimes legislation for the GOP. Ellis would have been far worse and a solid Boehner ally.

NO, any governor of KS would need legislative authorization to set up a State Exchange for Obamacare.

I believe Brownback signed legislation to that effect as well, as our current Insurance Commissioner wanted to set up a State Exchange.

And YES, Brownback needs to attack Dem Paul Davis on the Obamacare issue.

Roberts has a good conservative voting record. He is no Rino, but neither is he perfect—I can’t seem to find a perfect.
