Ferguson police released a report today detailing a robbery before the fatal shooting last week of 18 year-old Michael Brown.
Chief of police Jackson held a press conference early Friday morning.

Here are photos of the robbery at the convenience store with a suspect who was identified as “Big Mike” Brown.

Local activists say this is a smear campaign against Michael Brown.
To the rest of us it looks like a strong-arm robbery.

There is another thing to consider: the taking of the cell phones immediately after the incident. While many have have assumed that this was done to conceal evidence, it is entirely possible that it was done to preserve evidence. The police aren't stupid, and know that the ferals will think nothing of lying to protect one of their own, or to get even with those that they have been indoctrinated to hate. It is entirely within the realm of possibility that the video evidence confiscated at the scene is being used to pressure the Gentle Giant's accomplice, and his peers.

I hope that the entire FACTS of what happened from before the altercation to the shooting, to the autopsy report. The public has a right to know, but it’s verging on the line of trying in the media in lieu of a Trial.

I knew about it. On the first night of looting, I posted the video of Dorian Johnson describing the robbery and shooting. It seems not many here watched it.

my understanding is all police cars have audio recording installed. Was there police car video which would have had the audio?

Why is a FL law firm in MO? Are there no “practicing law without a license” rules in that state?

NAACP spokes said Michael Brown was shot once, then nine (9) times as he lay in the street.

I read another article that said between 4-6 casings.

I wish these reporters would shut up the quotes from people who don’t know what the facts are and have been verified.

Does that mean since turning 18 a few months ago or no juvi record, either. I’m not sure they can say anything about a juvi record, which is usually sealed, but it is very misleading to say “no criminal record” without making that clear.

I’m looking through the original reports (msnbc, kmov) and Dorian says he saw his friend walking down the sidewalk and caught up with him 20 minutes before the shooting. He mentions nothing about Brown (and Dorian along) robbing the Convenience store. Dorian left that part out.

Yes,Just caught the press conference with Police Chief.He was asked that question.

He does in the video that I linked, which I posted here on Sunday night. Dorian Johnson has changed his story from what he said in the video.

Ferguson Police Chief just made it worse for himself. In a press conference minutes ago he just admitted that the stopping of Mr Brown had nothing to do with the robbery, and that he woas only stopped because he was in the middle of the street.

Also Mr Johnson who was with him in the store will not be charged.

One reporter just asked an interesting question: Since he is dead and you are not charging the guy with him, then why did you release it???

His answer: Because you asked for it —

What??? No one knew about it so how could anyone ask for it???

The reporter went on: By releasing this information about the robbery you have now put the store and its owner in jeopardy. So why did you do it???

The release of the video this morning was an attempt to exonerate the police by putting a citizen storeowner at risk.
