In her upcoming book Off the Sidelines, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., reveals she was the subject of insensitive comments about her weight from male colleagues in the House and Senate.
According to an excerpt posted by PEOPLE magazine, Gillibrand details an incident in her book where a male colleague saw her in the gym said, Good thing youre working out, because you wouldnt want to get porky! According to the Huffington Post, Gillibrand responded, Thanks, ahole.

Because liberals have to be offended by something, 24/7....and they have NO sense of humor.
She’s blaming her colleagues? I thought it was Dean Wormer who had her pegged.
Exactly. . .”Good thing youre working out, because you wouldnt want to get porky!
That statement was clearly saying she WAS NOT porky and in shape. A compliment.
Ah, poor her.
If you don’t like the heat of the oven, don’t bake and eat so many cookies.
Thanks mikrofon.
Senator Porky has a gutter mouth.
True, and the article also said she has fluctuated between a size 6 and a 16, so...
A very clever response to the post. Congrats.
He didn’t say she is porky; rather, he’s happy she’s working out so she doesn’t get porky. Either way, she’s a pig.
I believe the “offender” likely called her a “fat head”.
Yep, and they want to drag everyone else down into their misery.
Exactly. If I walked by a guy who was working out and I said, “Hey, keep it up, keep that beer belly away!” I doubt he would get offended. And it wouldn’t be intended that way.
As ABC knows, this is so much more important than IRS-gate.
“Boy, you got a pertty mouth!”
She’s cuter a little porky, this photo shows.
By the way, my wife lectures me about “getting porky” all the time.
She is full of herself.
I believe it, and it definitely wasn’t a Republican. The comments came from Democrats. How do I know? If it was a Republican the headline would have screamed that it was. If it was a Republican from anywhere on the planet, there would be no attempt at subtle implying. That is only reserved for Democrats.
It delivers white female votes to Dems; the fact that they don’t see how this contributes to their inability to find a spouse, and instead leads to them subsidizing other people’s kids, is lost on them...
You can bet that if it was a Republican she would name him.
