It’s official: the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has issued an order declining a request for an en banc hearing in a case involving four students in at a California high school who were sent home for wearing American flag T-shirts on Cinco de Mayo.
The full slate of Ninth Circuit judges has thus agreed with a lower district court and with a trio of appellate judges that officials at Live Oak High School in Morgan Hill, Calif. could censor students who wanted to wear flag-emblazoned shirts.
The federal appeals court issued its denial of an en banc hearing on Sept. 17 — Constitution Day.
“[N]o further petitions shall be permitted,” the court ordered.
The trouble dates back to Cinco de Mayo (May 5) in 2010, when officials at Live Oak High — a school with a predominant Mexican-American student body — forced the students to remove their American flag-festooned shirts. Administrators called the shirts “incendiary” and worried that fighting would break out between white and Latino students if Latino students noticed the shirts. So, assistant principal Miguel Rodriguez told the students to turn their shirts inside out or leave school.

True that. Few are willing to acknowledge that out loud.
In that case, next Cinko de Mayo, American students should exercise their Constitutional right to burn mexican flags.

Did you know that more than 65% of Mexicans are descendents of Spain? What you have is the descendents of one European nation getting angry with the descendents of other European nations for being here.
These folks are posers, nothing more, nothing less.
You are absolutely right. Spain came in and claimed massive land from the indigenous population. When Spain pulled out, it granted the land it stole to Mexico. Spain left in about 1825. Mexico lost the land to us in the Mexican/American war around 1850. And then we compensated Mexico to boot.
These Mexican blow-hards don’t know their history at all.
Not hard to figure this wasn’t covered in their 0 to 8th grade education. That’s what illegals have 0 to 8 years. Much of them only have about four years of formal education, but they think they should be in charge up here.

It isn’t really history they are believing in. It’s chutzpah. Say something illogical with enough conviction and voila, it gets to be treated as a Truth.

I have to laugh at some of my own life... the difficulties I got into were often due to insisting that something preposterous was true. Just for stubbornness sake. Sin, thy name is fallen human (when it isn’t demonic).
That doesn’t mean that unfair troubles can’t get in our faces. We didn’t always do something bad in order to suffer everything we’ve suffered. Sometime God lets the devil get in our face in order to show how He can mow that devil down when we put our faith in Him.
Civil disobedience is in order here.
Maybe even “uncivil” disobedience. Picketers with flags anybody?
Really schools should just allow plain tee shirts in any color but absolutely nothing printed on this. Sure this situation is dumb and un-American, but why allow any kind of writing on shirts at all. Schools used to be a place to learn....no longer.
I hate the 9th circuit. They take every opportunity to reject America’s basic values. This is what happens when the courts are given to liberals.

That’s what I’m hoping for.
Socialists wanted them to be like societies... well when that is taken seriously then EEEERP they are suddenly objecting.
