Cruz is the Hispanic Reagan. The GOPe must be having a cow.

The GOPe will bring in ringers and ONE RINO with hopes of splitting the vote.

Let's see, Cruz will have to wade through Christie, Perry, Carson, Bush, Romney, Paul, Jindal, Rubio, Santorum, Walker, and what would a GOP primary be without Donald Trump? And then there's always a chance that Bachman, Bolton, Huckaboob, Portman, Ryan, or Bolton may toss their hat into the ring as well.

Because he’s going to go GOTV for this November and this helps. People will be meeting their future candidate NOW.

Can Cruz trust anyone who is this loose-lipped?

Loose-lipped? Do you honestly think that Cruz has not been running for president these past months?

Good news. Now I hope the GOP does not allow liberals run their primaries debates. Their only goal is to make every GOP candidate look bad, especially the conservatives.

How can someone born in Canada be a “natural born US citizen?”

Since obama was approved by both political parties, neither party now can or will say that a "Natural Born Citizen" differs from any other class of citizenship. One class of citizenship is the same as another, as now defined by the governing.

The literal meaning of natural born citizen, and more importantly, the historical symbolism that our President be a born and bred American citizen, along with the melting pot idea, the system that creates an "American citizen", are legally dead thanks to obama and the Democratic and Republican parties.

Ted Cruz's election to POTUS will put the final stake in, with TEA party approval and support.

Impressive to watch it unfold. Sad, but impressive.

I should have clarified: we have a primary candidate. I did not mean to imply that the GOP would nominate him....

(and by “we” of course...I mean FR...not the GOP....alas there’s a pretty big divergence there)

I have no idea what the host has stated about this issue. I know very little about what the host thinks about anything, except that he is a Californian as I am, and that Free Republic is a right-leaning forum for discussion.

If the topic of a likely Republican’s eligibility is off limits when no rules regarding civility or blog pimping, etc., have been broken, I would be surprised to learn that, but I’ll respect it.

And speaking of civility, it’s incredibly rude to suggest that a person with an opinion that doesn’t jibe with what you say is the FR party line needs a “severe attitude adjustment.”

Where do I sign up as a volunteer. Not since Ronald Reagan have I been so eager to join a campaign and volunteer.

Same here.

I had the honor of knowing Ronald Reagan. He and my Dad were best friends from before World War II.

If we all had voted last time around, Romney would be President, and he would have been a far better choice than Obama any day. That same 25% who didn’t vote in 2012 MUST vote this time. We could win this thing, and save our country, if we all throw our votes behind a single conservative candidate. Cruz runs rings around all the other potential contenders. In a debate, he has no equal. He is an intellectual giant and a man with hardcore conservative principles and values. He also has proven leadership skills. If 100% of us give robust support now to a single candidate, we just might succeed in taking that candidate all the way. Let’s NOT let the GOP-e choose our candidate for us this time.

I, like some on this forum, have no idea if Cruz is eligible. However, I imagine, Cruz has done his research, and therefor, I am deferring my opinion on the subject, to his expert knowledge.

I cannot imagine that Cruz would accept the Republican nomination, without knowing for certain, the status of his eligibility.

Remember what it was like to actually vote FOR someone???

Ronald Reagan but if you voted for Palin and that other really old guy, then that is almost the same thing.

Cruz lacks the executive experience but makes it up in every other way.

That is my only concern about him and no doubt it will be touted by the press. Of course that was never a concern of theirs with Hussein....

Run Ted run! Mark Levin for Attorney General and Sarah Palin for the head of Department of Energy.

Yes m'am! I'm hopeful that Rush will break, or at least bend, his long-standing rule of not expressing preference for a primary candidate--maybe even be concerned enough about the hazards of splitting the primary vote amongst too many perceived conservative candidates, thus allowing the GOP-e to waltz another RINO straight into the general election.

We're going to need one good conservative candidate to rally around with intense grassroots funding if we're to have any hope of contesting the corporate milliions with which Rove's clowns will seed their guy's campaign war chest.

Ted Cruz is definitely my first choice.
