The likelihood of a Republican Senate takeover continues to increase with all three major election models giving the GOP at least a six in ten probability of winning the six seats the party needs to win take back control.

The trend lines in both the LEO and FiveThirtyEight models highlight movement over the past week toward Republicans -- with a slight tick back toward Democrats in the last few days."

Buchanan may still be the worst. It’s pretty bad when the Civil War starts at the end of your term.

The first state to secede, South Carolina, did so in December 1860, as a direct result of Lincoln's election one month prior.

Well we will see after the election when Ebola cases start sprouting up across country at the same time terror attacks start going off like popcorn on a hotplate. The guy is an ENEMY OF THE UNITED STATES. He is a radical Muslim and his ONLY mission is the complete destruction of the USA, I really do not understand why people have trouble understanding that. How much more evidence do people need? How many more examples of his actions do they require? This is not an issue of getting votes, this is an issue of having a country or not having a country. This is camping with rattle snakes in the tent. Either they are thrown out or you die and I cannot believe congress could be so incredibly stupid to screw themselves over because believe it or not, their lives are going to be screwed just as much as everybody elses.

I thought the Civil War began in April 1861; and that James Buchanan had left office about a month earlier. Is that not correct?

“Buchanan may still be the worst. “

You know you can argue that Buchanan was worse, but compare a list of his misdeeds against Obama.

The moral issue of his day was slavery. He was indifferent and didn’t condemn it.

But for us the moral issue of the day is gay marriage and abortion. Obama has promoted baby killing (fundraising for abortion providers) and the gay agenda far more that Buchanan promoted slavery.

Obama destroyed our health care industry.

Obama wrecked havoc across the planet, causing wars and genocide because of his indecision and by withdrawing of troops too early. .

Obama dumped a trillion dollars down the “stimulus” hole, bankrupting our treasury, causing food and gas prices to double.

Obama has emboldened our enemies, basically giving Iran the bomb, stabbing Israel in the back and turning over hard won land in Iraq to terrorist groups “worse than Al Qaeda.”

Obama has caused America to be disdained by allies and enemies alike.

Obama gave the enemies of American it’s to five generals we held as prisoners. Buchanan never gave aid to our enemies I don’t think.

Obama is a worse president by a factor of about ten.

If the Republicans win the Senate, and hold the House, how will things be different than they are now?

Obama called it the "Do-nothing Congress", even though the House passed over 500 pieces of legislation in 22 months at one point.

The Senate simply would not take the legislation to the floor, and Harry Reid acts as the False Prophet to Obama's Antichrist.

To be perfectly honest with you, and candid - my feeling is even if we were to take the Senate, America is finished.

We have turned from God, and we won't turn back to Him. I believe we are in the last days.

Are you sure? My email inbox is filled daily with doom and gloom from the RNC begging money.

I kindly reply with a picture of my castrated bull dog laying on his back with some catchy phrase like, “when you donate money to help me find my dogs nuts then I will donate money to help the RNC to find yours”.

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

2 more years of a pen and a phone folks, just get ready.

Nope, no more writing or calling those worthless pieces of RINO shiite.

Play time is over and we need to grow a pair ourselves. Face to face visits to their local offices is the only way to start getting their attention.

No impeachment. You said it yourself, he committed treason. He did not stain an interns dress or spy on another party.

No, if this is treason. He should be arrested, tried and if convicted hung.

This is the big one against the People of the United States.

We have two more years to suffer

And more than that if another Democrat is President. We have to consider what we'll do when a "RINO" is the Republican candidate. I think we all know that the Repub candidate is not going to be the pick of this forum, he will be too centrist, too moderate but look what some people refusing to vote for the centrist got us. Obamadork. I've pretty well decided whomever makes it to the top, I'll have to vote for that one.

The only REAL answer is we don’t know.

Now the gamblers amongst you can wager on nothing being done, and if past history is any indicator, you well may be correct.

HOWEVER, it is not just us watching as spectators—we must be active participants, always demanding they institute true conservative policies and confront Obama and the liberals as if the country’s life depended on it. Because it DOES!

I believe that we can influence them if we stick with it. We have no influence with the democrats. The Republicans better play nicely with us—that is include us—or we look for another party.

There will be some change, but not really.

I predict a massive number of bills passing both houses of congress only to be veto’d by Obama.

In the end, not much will change.

Appointments will be slowed down again, but in the end the vast majority will be approved.

I dont even give a crap if the republicans win the senate... I simply want thad and mitch to lose.

If the senate can be taken from the democrat wing of the socialist party with the republican wing of the socialist party taking some damage.. even better..

Honestly, Im at the point where I want to see everything that has been corrupted torn the F down. Smashed to pieces then ground to sand and beaten into dust...

We can rebuild on a sanitized foundation after that.

Thanks for the post...seems there will be some truly good benefits for us...but won’t the Repubs want to reach across the aisle and fill committees and chairs with Dems?

But we have to! This Country cannot survive another Obama. We're barely making it as it is. My biggest fear is I'll be voting for Jeb Bush. Laura Ingraham talking this morning that he and Romney are at the top. Gag me but yes, I will even vote for Jeb (Please God don't make me).
